    Just watched Cy-Ranch at their football game against Cy-Woods, I can gladly say that this band is definitely someone who I think is someone to watch out for in the upcoming future. Oh and Cypress Woods Sounds amazing!

    It’d be really nice, for Keller ISD to say they had all Keller schools go to state, and it’d be great for the kids, I really want to see how Keller central would do in comparison to Keller.

    I really do feel for the kids when that happens in band programs at area prelims/finals, hopefully we will see them at state this year.

    Did Keller central make state last year? I don’t completely remember for sure as I know Keller made state, but not sure about central.

    I forgot twhs was going since they weren’t here last year, I’ve got my top 3 locked(slightly) But is anyone else looking at these contest times And thinking to themselves have awesome this competition is going to be? I mean we have Cy-Fair going after the woodlands, and we have Reagan, Bridgeland, Seven Lakes, and CTJ going in that order, really excited to see how it maybe effects the score of these upcoming future powerhouse bands (seven lakes, cy fair, bridgeland)going after Texas powerhouses like ctj and Reagan!

    6A Area I- Cy-Fair, Cy-Woods, Bridgeland, Seven Lakes, and the 5th spot is up for grabs between James E Taylor and Katy/Maybe Cinco ranch!

    I think Bridgeland has the director from cy falls. Keep in mind this was the same director who brought Cy-Falls to state and BOA San Antonio finals so no wonder bridgeland is making it so far!

    My guesses would be Langham Creek, Cypress Ridge, Cypress Creek, Cypress Park, Cypress Lakes, Cypress Springs, possibly jersey village, Dulles, Aldine, just a few I can think up on the spot.

    This competition is typically attended by smaller schools, the past few years the number of bigger schools has gone down, last year Cypress Ranch, Jersey village, and Cypress Falls were the bigger schools that went here, but there will be no Cy-Falls or ranch, and most likely no JV.

    Cy-Woods, L.D Bell, bridgeland are some new finalists I could see, Bridgeland has been very very clean for this early in the season.

    This upcoming competition will be a prelims only event, hosted on September 30th, 2023 at Pridgeon Stadium.

    That is true, It’d be surprising if it did happen, I highly do doubt they would be able to get in a 3rd place spot, and while it would be impressive, the chances are extremely, very, extremely, slim, very.

    I gotta agree with this one, I had the exact same list going in, but those top three slots I really am excited for, Between The Woodlands, CTJ, and Ronald Reagan, but MAYBE, just MAYBE, we can have cy-fair pop into a 3rd spot?

    On the side note, Bridgeland seems to really be gaining some ground here, placed 19th right below woods at 18th, I really think they are going to be a Houston powerhouse, right next to woods who is hopefully going to be a Houston powerhouse, and it seems like those two will be battling it out almost every year at the same level placing 1 place above or below each other.

    I would definitely Put bridgeland as a grand champion out of everyone, Based on last year even when Cy-Woods Attended Lonestar preview, and Bridgeland still took home the gold. Now that Cy-Woods is gone, It seems as if Bridgeland is going to be Number 1.

    Yeah, I mean for the most part these are just predictions, Cy-Falls seems to have gone down hill ever since 2021, BOA Katy wasn’t great for them last year getting placed Lower than Cy-Parks High School, and then UIL wasn’t any better for them last year as they went from 8th in 2021 to 12th in 2022. But I have seen their recent performances in football games and I can say that I have confidence in their resurgence. James E Taylor is a dark horse that I can see popping into finals, i know that BOA Conroe last year wasn’t great for them, but I’m confident that they can pop into finals.

    After looking at Dawson’s BOA Conroe results from last year, I will definitely move them up on that list, BOA Katy definitely wasn’t their best run but I do see this band in finals.

Taylor 18th: Dawson 19th: A&M Consolidated 20th: Cypress Falls There are 9 more bands but I have little knowledge about them, so this is just adding a bit of the mid card of placements.

    For BOA SA I Think so? But for state I think no one is pulling out because it’s but earlier this year.
