  1. I Immediately screen recorded this 😩
  2. When @HeartOfTexas said I should become a band better, they were on to something. I didn’t expect to be this accurate…
  3. Same thing happened to Duncanville and SLC this year at Area B where Duncanville won the tiebreaker and qualified. And same thing happened last year with Timber Creek and LD Bell, where TC won the tiebreaker.
  4. https://www.smbc.uiltexas.org/area/results/files/area-22_6A Area C.pdf
  5. LD Bell made state(I’m practically in tears) and Hebron won area C. A dream come true as a fan of both programs!
  6. Same thing happened when I predicted this order: Lake Highlands> Martin > Berkner. Inaccurate for prelims, accurate for finals
  7. My prediction of Bell above Duncanville and Keller Central in 9th place were inaccurate for prelims but turned out to be accurate for finals. UIL I tell ya…
  8. IM INCREDULOUS! BELL MADE IT😭😭😭I’M PRACTICALLY IN TEARS😭😭 🔔 💙
  9. Area C Champion( State Qualifier)- Hebron
  10. 2nd Place( State Qualifier)- Flower Mound
  11. 3rd Place(State Qualifier)- Marcus
  12. 4th Place(state qualifier)- Wylie
  13. 5th place(state qualifier)- Wylie East
  14. 6th Place(state qualifier)- McKinney Boyd
  15. And that concluded my predictions! Btw do you all want me to list finals placements one by one as they’re called or all at once at the conclusion of the event?
  16. Rock Hill is such a clean band! The first thing that stood out to me was their visual proficiency with fast-paced drill moves. Not at all easy to do. And they play with such confident, mature sounds! You can’t even tell how young the school is! I love how well the woodwinds play those grace notes! Every little note is crystal clear and perfectly timed!
  17. Marcus performs with what I call subtle intensity. They play rhythms that sound simple with exceptionally great tuning, balance and control, all while marching or doing choreography. That double-tonguing feature with the high brass has cleaned up nicely over time. I love how well the low brass juxtaposes them with their (deceptively) simple accompaniment. those woodwind runs were pristine! The tuning and timing of that section in the show has come along nicely. I love how at the throughout the ballad there wasn’t a single odd sound in the ensemble. Pristine and clear all throughout. They built up to the ballad’’s climax perfectly! and they march both simple and complex formations with fantastically strong fundamentals! They make everything look easy when it isn’t!
  18. Wylie East, Loved that double-tounging in the brass section! This is a group that does a good job of playing within themselves and doing very well at it! Strong, well blended sounds all the time from everyone. And great mastery of their visual fundamentals.
