Pecos starting us off with a great show! Lots of power for a band that small.

Cedar Park has been so good this season that I didn’t realize that this is their first time back in finals since 2017!! Major accomplishment. And welcome back, Coppell! Rouse deserves a Texas-sized welcome as well!!

If they get second tonight……..

Cedar Ridge top half!! And Hebron with a somewhat unfortunate performance time.

Congrats finalists, and every band that performed over the past two days!!! So many amazing shows that deserve another performance, but there’s just not enough spots!

No surprises there! Honestly shocked how good these judges are.

I was seriously impressed by them!

Your defending champs, Ronald Reagan! I love love love their music! That never ending woodwind feature, oh my god. They are attempting some crazy hard stuff, but I do hear a few too many inconsistencies. I’ve seen them totally nail that woodwind duet, so I’m sad that it kinda fell apart. The hit in the ballad oddly feels like it’s lacking in power. There is still room for them to grow, which is mostly a good thing.

There were so many great bands in this last block that could be in finals, wow.

It’s nice to finally see Waxahachie attend this competition! They produce such good sounds!! Maybe a bit of nerves at the beginning, but the show kept getting better and better. This show feels more UIL than BOA so I’m excited to see how they do at state in a few days!

Marcus’ ballad>>>>>

Wylie! I think they were close to finals here in 2019, so it’s not surprising they are this good. The bubble grows!

Pearland was awesome! For some reason I didn’t expect the show to end where it did. I hope we get to see that show again!

Cypress Woods was really great! It’s hard to figure out where they fit in the rankings, since it’s easy to directly compare them to Hebron. I would like a bit more energy in the music performance, I was expecting a band this big to be a bit louder. Its a very very good show, even if it feels like the theming and music has been done before. If they don’t make finals tonight, it is certainly in their near future!!

Hebron low brass is crazy. The ballad is stunnnnning. Trombones in the closer are insane. That was scary good. Not totally obsessed with the visual theming though.

College Park was also great!! Huge saber tosses!

Oak Ridge! Such great sounds! They may be smaller, but the quality has stayed the same. That guard is awesome, too.

Brazoswood was really nice!

Coppell’s show is a PRODUCTION. Definitely some dirt around the edges, but I don’t think it’ll matter. I would be surprised if we don’t see them again tonight! The flute solo in the ballad!!!!! Gorgeous!! Percussion is so good! The ending is a bit much haha. I kindof forget that that giant prop is there most of the show, wish they used it more effectively considering how much of a hastle it probably is.

That giant prop looks like a nightmare to deal with…and it not being perfectly centered is bothering me lol

Did Pearland get moved??

There is something so enchanting about Seven Lakes’ show. If they don’t make finals, I think they’ll be close.
