  1. It seemed to me that Lebanon trail took music but Wakeland took visual, Lone star was really good too. If I had to rank them right now I’d have1. Wakeland 2. Lebanon Trail (but really close) 3. Lone Star 4. Centennial
  2. We have 17 but are only marching 13
  3. Biggest tuba section yall have ever seen? I think my school may set a record for 5a schools this year with 17
  4. What do you think will go down for area rankings?
  5. 64 woodwinds 64 brass (including tubas) 15 battery (6, 4, 5) 16 front ensemble so winds are going from 128 to 163 and percussion from 31 to 36
  6. I just found out the instrumentation for Lebanon Trail's show next year. It's not super relevant but just thought these numbers were cool. -75 woodwinds -75 brass (excluding tubas) -13 tubas -18 battery (8, 5, 5) -18 front ensemble
  7. If Lebanon Trail improves from the 2018 to the 2019 season as much as they did from the 2017 to the 2018 season I could see them challenging Wakeland (who will lose even more to Memorial going into the 2019 season) for the top spot in the area.
  8. I'd say Wakeland, Lebanon Trail, and Wylie East could all make state finals to be honest. Whether that happens will probably depend on who actually makes state. Not so sure about Centennial or McKinney North despite both being pretty good.
  9. I didn't see that listed on their website so probably not that would be cool though
  10. Wakeland announced their show, 11, themed around the space race/Apollo 11. Anyone know other show names/themes in Area B?
  11. Thoughts on Wakeland this year?
  12. Cedar Park +1 Marcus -1 Leander 36 LD Bell 25 The Woodlands 34 Ronald Reagan 37 Richland 33 Marcus 3 Cedar Park 22
  13. Definitely PEMI, but the other LT directors are definitely lobbying for BOA Dallas over TOC, they'd rather compete with a larger group of participants, given that TOC typically only has about 10 bands...
  14. Cedar Park vs. Dripping Springs? I thought Dripping Springs was an obvious winner in terms of visual cleanliness and should have earned 1st place. But I don't know how to access the caption scores from the 2017 contest though, so Cedar Park's music scores may have outweighed Dripping Springs'.
  15. Frisco Lebanon Trail may be attending BOA Dallas because it's the same weekend as Tournament of Champions, and we won that in 2018, so attending it might be redundant.
  16. But if two bands perform their drill very well, the one with the harder drill will still receive a higher score won't they?
  17. Cedar Park +1 Marcus -1 Leander 35 L.D. Bell 25 The Woodlands 34 Ronald Reagan 37 Richland 32 Marcus 7 Cedar Park 20
  18. Maybe if they take on more difficult drill in 2019, especially since UIL doesn't have a GE caption.
  19. Lebanon Trail's first year with seniors will be next season. Lots of expectations from the students, like having a full size band and doing well at area and whatnot. Needless to say there's a lot riding on their 2019 season, but they have an experienced staff and some great playing ability imo.
  20. Wanna give us your whole 1-20 predictions? Lmao I'm just playin.
