I know I am a bit late on this, but it was disheartening to say the least to see Seven Lakes out of finals. The scores from the judges for each category were... interesting to me, with 7L sitting at 13th for individual music and 3rd for ensemble music (averaging out at 5th), 8th for individual visual and 21st for ensemble visual (averaging out at 15th), 14th and 10th for music GE and 15th for visual GE, averaging out at 13th overall for GE. Obviously it's very inconsistent across the board, and whether the fault lies with the band or the judges is neither clear nor important at this point. I am very confident that Seven Lakes will be able to polish up and have a great run at Waco, so don't give up on them just yet!

I think you guys have a good chance at placing highly this Saturday, I like this year's show a lot

What I can say about this show is that it will absolutely blow DYEvergent out of the water. I'm struggling to deal with the fact that I can't perform this show (like any graduating senior), but I can promise that I will come back and bawl like a baby while watching it.

In our prelims run at Area, our music scores were 1, 5, and 10. The judge that gave us the 10 was the same judge who gave us low scores in 2014 and 2016, and resulted in us missing state. Just something to add to the table.

Today is my one free day, so I've been spamming the forums, but YEAAA TUBAS!!!! I'm one of the Seven Lakes tubas and we're a little short on tubas this year, so we brought in 3 trombone/baritones, but WE STILL KICK BUTT!!!!!

We're facing CTJ at BOA McAllen, and I gotta say I am super excited to see them, but I am so nervous that their sound will disintegrate my face off. They're also pretty terrifying as a competitor, but nevertheless, their show is bound to be amazing!

Lemme tell ya, it is the most amazing show I have ever been a part of. The music and drill are so intense this year, I have never been so excited to put something on the field. Can't wait to see y'all at BOA ))))))

The show that my school did was "The Shining" and Oregon Crusaders are doing the same theme for their show. The pictures they used for their release were the exact same as ours, and they are using two of the same songs we did. Definitely not salty about it (I am actually very excited to see how their season goes) but it's just funny to me.
