Believe me ma'am, we are great fund raisers here in Del Rio,TX as well, the only difference is that our fund raising only yield between one to two thousand a pop. If I recall correctly on one of the topics in this forum, one of the Austin schools made $40k on one fund raiser alone. You shouldn't feel resentful about my comment, if you do, I apologize. It is the truth though.... P.S. I am a fan of the Dripping Springs program as well!

Yes, they sound great! Del Rio received very high scores for music... unfortunately, general effects scores were low. It is what it is.....

Hmmm, I don't believe I predicted a first place for them at BOA midland. 6th place at a BOA event with ZERO props is not bad... my opinion. Maybe I should be grateful for Del Rio being included... Thanks.

I have no doubt that Del Rio will place top 3 at this BOA. Del Rio will surprise everyone at other BOA's and UIL comp.....

I do agree that parental and community support is key. I believe that every year each band is successful in their own way as band directors and students strive to accomplish goals they set at the beginning of the year. However, funding does make a difference in the outcome of top bands in the state of Texas. 100% my opinion.
