If I had to choose I would say they have a higher chance than last year, albeit very slightly.

I wasn't in the stadium itself so I couldn't tell you first hand. I do think that the band is in a very similar situation as last year though where both '17s and '18s Visual packages hurt them a fair bit. It '17 it was because there was so much Visual GE that it became confusing to gauge and it made it hard to judge Visual execution. This year it is the other way around. Visual Execution is prioritized over Visual GE to do better in UIL. It is difficult to say either way really.

If they get left out I would assume it to be because of Visual General Effect. If they get in it's because of Musical clarity and Visual Execution.

From what people are saying their Musical package was solid, but the weak visual package the show itself has makes it hard to say either way if they will make Finals. I do think they have a shot at it, but it wasn't an undeniable performance. Nothing to be ashamed of either way; it's a great band that executed their show at a very high level!

Truly, This is a new era of band that we are all just trying to figure out . Certainty makes these "Predictions" a lot more Interesting.

I think they could potentially make the top 25 or mayyyyyybe even top 20 . Great improvement from that band!

I always like to watch shows the first time in High cam, then once I a familiar with it I will use Multi-Cam given that it's decently produced.

An interesting interpretation of scoring that I've never considered before. That would provide an explanation of why 2017 was such an outlier.

I wonder if the score cut to make SA Finals will be like 2017 or revert back to normal levels. I'm leaning towards the score to make finals will be a 88 at least though.

The concept art was posted on their drumline's Instagram awhile back

To be honest, The concept art for the new Round Rock uniform made it look like it would be a more drastic change than the new uniform ended up being. The only major changes was the the Shako, the new black bling, and the loss of the maroon cinch. I like the new design but I think they could have added a bit more white highlights around the arms kinda like the old silver gauntlet did. I thought they were going to update the dragon itself since their boosters had a new version of it as their branding, but that never occurred. Overall I like the new design, I just think it could have went further.

This seems a little too consistent for UIL judging, but maybe that's just 'cuz it's midnight and I'm missing something
