No, that's not what happened. There was major flooding in the Austin-Metro area during BOA San Antonio 2015 which forced a couple of bands (Leander, Dripping Springs, Hendrickson) to drop out of the contest because Music for All couldn't fit a rescheduled time for them in the schedule. I'm still mad about that because Leander really could've won the whole thing if the weather didn't happen.

Bridgeland High School is seven years old. The future of this program is very bright! They've got something special and I'm very proud of them for their history making season!

It's always nice to see someone make finals at this contest after a long time. The last time Wakeland was in San Antonio finals was in 2015. I think the only streak longer than that which was eventually broken was the 10 year non-finals streak for Cypress Falls from 2006-2015

Well it's not impossible for it to happen. Reagan did it back in 2017 when they jumped from 8th in prelims to 5th in finals and they performed 3rd in finals

Couldn't post immediately because the forum got overloaded but dang I feel so bad for Cedar Ridge and Westwood, I did not expect them to be out...And I feel even worse for Bowie because now they probably don't have a chance at Grand Nats finals. Very interested to see those prelims recap and see where everyone else ended up. But super happy for Leander and LD Bell! Great way to make a statement after not being in finals last year.

Wakeland does not place in the Top 3 in Class 3A.

Despite a lower number of participants compared to the last couple of years, the competition was still incredibly tough. Vandegrift, The Woodlands, Marcus, Rouse, Ronald Reagan, Vista Ridge, Round Rock, Cedar Ridge, and Bridgeland are all solidly in finals. I kept thinking over and over again about predicting who's getting those last spots, and I've decided I'm not going to do it. Because I can't. A lot of the bubble bands have been on fire and I honestly think it is anyone's game.

Marcus really said "Oh, you gave us 13th last year? Watch us jump up by 10 places."

Yes Bowie!! I love the visual changes they made, the effect comes of way better. I'd love to see them again tomorrow night, but no matter what happens I'm proud of them, and my alumni will always have my heart. Pun intended.

Very happy Winston Churchill got to perform considering they lost nearly everything after the rain in Waco.

I'm so happy for Bridgeland and how quickly the program has grown over a short amount of time. That was without a doubt a finals worthy performance!

Lake Travis has a lot of great moments in their show. The moment they did the dynamic change during the double tounging section gave me life! I think this is the best show that Lake Travis has ever had.

Stellar performance from Leander! I always love how Leander's shows have an energy that is unique to them.

Great showing from Keller Central! So much high energy and intensity, this was definitely the best show they've had.

I agree. The show is fun and the show has great moments but the visual I think is what's going to hold them back.
