  3. yep...indeed i felt bad. Storytime! It was UIL Marching 2005, xenon may remember it was Duncanville hosting it. The last group to perform was South Grand Prairie, Irving- MacArthur, Coppell, and Duncanville. It was a beautiful sunset on the horizon as South Grand Prairie was going to play its show "New Beginnings" South Grand Prairie was doing good, but 1 mistake was going to ruin it for everyone, its up for the judges if they have seen what i am about to tell. Bass Clarinets were marching on 1 direction and the Alto's in the other. They were marching from about 4-6 from each other. I bumped into one of them for the first time, it was really noticeable from my perspective. I got out of step and when i saw the video, it was clearly noticable. luckily, South Grand Prairie made straight 1s for the 1st time in 5 years. But if the judges saw that move, i wouldve felt really really really horrible. From the mistake on, i wasnt playing that much and trying the finish the last 3 minutes of the show mistake free. The story of straight 1s overshadowed the mistake and has never been told again, except for today anyways.
  4. i think i saw my section leader on TV...im serious!
  5. stupid ESPN, since when they were right?

  8. mistakes are killing Texas little by little
  9. Hook em Horns i dont care if its 3-0 or 70-69 I want Texas to win! That'll mean Texas High School Football is the best in the country if Texas wins
  10. You answered "yes" to 62 of 208 questions, making you 70.2% band/corps pure (29.8% band/corps corrupt); that is, you are 70.2% pure in the band/corps domain.
  11. dont even remember but the majority of the bands there sounded horrible...didnt see the Allen band though, shame o btw, they have a committee and they choose a band thats from that region for example, Texas is in the Southwest region and so on. Fill out an entry form and they look at your past accomplishments in contests and etc. At least thats wut i heard from my band director when his former band ,Katy, went in '97 or '98
  12. i was watching the spanish braodcast since my ma left that channel on, the announcer said to one band which was so awful "the best band hes ever seen" Last time i checked the Tournament of Roses parade were only for the best of the best bands....
  13. i was unpacking when i heard a horrendous band brassy sound, it was the parade. Wasted my time though, some of those bands were awful sounding, but it was raining so yea. But i did see the Texas Longhorn Marching Band.
  14. Well, im back from Mexico! Update me on everything that happenned! Dont remind me the Redskins are in the NFL playoffs and Cowboys just lost to a horrible St. Louis team. UPDATE ME! p.s. Wut is a "burn ban" i keep seeing on the bulletins all across Texas??
  15. Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year. Im heading to Mexico in the morning and since i cant be on tonight (six flags) i wish everyone here happy holidays Be good and be safe!
  16. Star Wars
  17. i see lol, flip flops
  18. nope, but we have one for concert season, the numbers are the same up there for marching except the bassoon which goes to concert
  19. i heard Cannonballs have rave reviews by some "experts" , do you really think Cannonballs are really the real deal as some people say?
  20. well since theres 600, think of it this way, 50-60 players should be in wind symphony in a 200 piece band, imagine if you multiply that by 3, thats 150-180 who are really should be in wind symphony in a 600 piece band. So that makes the 3 top bands, "wind symphony" capable and then the next 3 "symphonic" level and the remaining 2 "concert" levels...i dunno....how does the all-region work for a 600 piece band??
