Trying to catch the game from the radio in San Antonio...no success, then i stop in a Cici's Pizza in New Braunfels and it was 1 minute left, and we lost =(...the people there were laughing at us In other news, South Padre was great. A dirty town, no good hotel service and not very good maids. The McDonalds was bad and so was the water. Shlitterbahn was ok, but South Grand Prairie got 13 trophies and overall best band, meh. Oh, Jake, I saw Three Rivers!

3 Days of it and today was it. Section Leader auditions...the sun was beaming, nerves were crawling all over me, but i marched with confidence. Also that coordinence test we had was easy and the essay was easy also. I will not get picked however, well wait and see in band banquet. Maybe ill serve in the Technology Department in the Student Leadership Team. Who knows Now we gotta play the waiting game, also gotta practice my audition music But all of that will wait...4 days of relaxation in Padre starting tommorow...ahh

priorities and resources

I have to do a live audition, besides, its a way more effective way than tapes because it truly tells the director your abilities unlike say the best player (who is your best buddy in this case) in your section records it for you and you get a free ticket to top band. I hate live auditions....makes me so nervous, but i overgrown that fear now

Winning at competitions??? i dont think weve ever won at competitions, but were on our way...i hope Football games??? Dont you love the South Grand Prairie Warriors, the only team who beat the 5A Division I Champs, Euless Trinity and their HAKA? Of course i miss it, i miss winning 9 of those 10 games and yelling the position of attention out of the top of my lungs to make the other band feel weak. I also miss staying out until midnight and winning 1651568181 to 0 Summer band camp??? only 30 days to go until that starts, hopefully im in leadership, i like to boss people around and being on top jk, or even section leader. The real thing starts in 94 days! being a lil fishie in a big ses pool??? Dont mind it at all, im now with the big boys! no more concert band stuff, i want to move up.

So...im in need of a new music notation software thing. My Finale is failing me by saying "Maestro Font is not installed, please re-run the installer" and ive been trying to fix it ALL-DAY long (spring break)... I know theres some posts about this in here but im too lazy to read them and trying to enjoy my spring break... I despreatly need one pronto! Perferably before May begins...Anyone got any good ones with a full version? Help

How does your band "get in shape" for the show? What activities do you do? Running? How much? Weights? Jumping Jacks? Every morning in summer band, we stretch and do push-ups and run laps, then we do the basics of marching How does your band motivate its members? What kinda things do you do? Speeches, songs, etc.. Speeches pretty much, most of the time, we motivate ourselves How does your band run rehearsal? Who calls the band to set? How often do you take water breaks? Is there talking on the field? The Band Director always runs the rehearsal, the drum major conducts and calls us to set. Every hour, theres a 5 minute water break and we dont talk on the field, if you do then its 1 lap or 20 push-ups...your choice Isnt Summer Band close already....yep, i got my audition music for next year, its close alright!
