We just marched in the Neiman Marcus Adolphus parade today. It was fairly ****, since we had to have a 6:30 am call time. We also march in the Arlington 4th of July parade every year.

Thanks. Hmmm..... well, you have your opinions, and I have mine. I meant for it to be a cotnrasted section with more stacatto parts in the top ranges and smooth bass lines in the horns and low brass. And then it adds a smooth but fast moving 16th line from the woodwinds on top... I like how it worked out.

And they didn't get mad or anything when we beat them... they we're actually very upstanding about it and cooridinated their yelling to where they congratulated us from across the stadium. And, when we walked by them shortly afterward and there was no one else around, even either band's directors, they didn't jump us! Lmao, man, it would've been a slaughter; like 2 on 1... lmao

Dream Show

I've done that many a time. If you go to the composer's corner you can hear some of my shows. -
We have 35 trumpets, so there are a few really weak members, but almost all of us are fairly awesome, and once you get about half way up there is a big clump of us who are really good, and are teh only competetion for each other at the City level (not sure about region yet), which is why we got 9 out of 12 spots, and then there is a big gap, then you have our 2 and 3 spot players who are juniors, and are friggin amazing, then there is a canyon in skilll and at the top you have our first chair, who is considered by many to be a god of sorts.

Yeah, no kidding, and we won the Lone Star Drum Line competition. Our drum line owns Marcus's; our percussion director works with Phantom Regiment's percussion line like every summer. -

http://rapidshare.de/files/8507892/fl_451_full.reg.html <-- that's the crack for FL 4.5.1 And because 4.5.1 has since been replaced by newer FL versions (which have yet to be properly cracked), you basically can not find an installer for the old version; except, from your's truly, lmao. I will post the link in 17 minutes when it is finished uploading. Ok, here it is: http://rapidshare.de/files/8508860/FLStudi...nstall.exe.html -

All those programs pale in comparison to what I use; FL Studio in conjunction with Edirol Orchestral VSTi plugin. I will get it linked at some point... hopefully soon. -
Composing for Marching Band
Fortisimo replied to mindfulmusician's topic in Drill Writers, Arrangers, and Composers Corner
Bach was a genius, plain and simple. I have never heard any of thier music, I'm afraid. I taught myself. Well, if you could get a way to transfer it, I could hook you up with FL Studio and Edirol Orchdestral... -
Texas Bands
Fortisimo replied to Band Of Champions's topic in Past Contests, Events, and Festivals Archive
Well there ya go. We tied them at Area last year, and we have both improved tons since then, so I guess we'll see how that turns out. -
So yeah... how would you rate your school's trumpet line? I would say ours is... amazing. we have one guy who has made All-State 3 times (Band, Orchastra and Jazz) and another who has made it twice. And antoehr who might make it this year. We took 9 out of 12 chairs for All-City. We're looking forward to all-region and beyond as well...

Oh, and if you don't think we have improved that much... just listen to this recording from only 2 years ago and compare it to our show from this year: http://www.keypoulan.com/samples/Pompeii_1_Live.mp3 -

Look at that guy and tell me you would not defecate all over his property. Man, I hate his music! And still people pay way to much for a single season's license for it! Ah well... LMFAO! An action figure? That's new... Bach ownz; his music is amazing, especially the Art of Fugue. -
We should do predicitons for like All-state band percentages or soemthing...

Yeah, represent! Lmao, UIL rocks; you think there is no competetive edge? Yeah right! You have to go against every band in the state. The next you win state you can tell us there is no competition!
