I'll stick to my 1-2 prediction of Flower Mound/CTJ, not sure of order.

One poster criticized me for guessing the Area E results.  Well, this is TX Bands, and about 1/2 this website is predicting contest outcomes!

I feel bad for Reagan and Westlake.  They would have advanced in most of the other areas.  But, with marching/all-state/honor band - there are always 1 or 2 areas that are just harder than the others.

I'm very excited to see so many programs advance to the state round that haven't gotten there before or not for a very long time.  Bravo!

There's one more region contest tomorrow, between Clemens, Steele, and Judson.  All other areas are set.

A lot of people here are predicting Reagan, and with good reason.  Reagan's Midwest entry in March was amazing.  They got in, Johnson didn't.

Since then, Johnson caught up and then some.  At the region 12 contest earlier today, Johnson was 1st place from every judge.  Given that Johnson was 3rd and 5th in the state the last two times it entered the honor band process, it shouldn't be too big of a surprise.

In area E, i still predict a bloodbath between Westlake, Vandegrift, and Reagan for 2nd.  If today was any indication, Johnson should be 1st place.  I think Reagan will pull out 2nd.

Areas B, F, and H have plenty of contenders, a lot of parity.  Based on past performance, I would expect Friendswood to advance from H.

Looking ahead, my guess is that the top 2 at state will be Flower Mound and Johnson, in some order.  People I trust have told me that one band or the other will win it all.  That said, the best concert band in Texas just might be Hebron this year, but they did not enter because their director is president of TMEA.  Brownsville Lopez is also not competing because they are the defending honor band.  BTW, I think the current rules, not allowing an honor band to repeat, are silly.  Even if you're the top program in the state by a wide margin, you can only be honor band every 4 years.  Silly!  The sitting honor band should be allowed to defend, and the contenders should welcome the opportunity to beat the champ.  Makes for a better contest.

The early buzz I've heard is that Flower Mound is fantastic this year.

At the region level, regions 3 and 17 look like a lot of fun.  Lots of quality bands.

The area round I'm looking forward to is E - the top Austin and San Antonio bands - bloodbath.

CTJ just won their 2nd BOA title, has won every contest by huge margins, has swept every caption. Became the first and only BOA band in the country to break 90 so far this season.

    Hornrank dropped them two spots.

My top 12 would be the same as yours, and just about the same order.

I also believe that Reagan is the band to beat.  They've defreated the top bands from Houston, San Antonio, and Austin already.  The Lewisville bands are all that's left.  Then again, CTJ took prelims and some captions from them at BOA Houston, and I'm sure the Woodlands will be at full force next week as well.  Though Austin has more great marching bands that any other city in Texas, I just don't see any of them competing for the top spot this year.  But, you never know!  Leander certainly shocked a lot of people last year.

For the last two finals slots, in addition to Hendrickson and Vista Ridge, there are also Cedar Ridge, Coppell, Wakeland, SFA, Keller, Keller Central, Dripping Springs, Friendswood, and Plano East.  Yikes!

Reagan sounds amazing. Their ballad is one of the best I've ever seen. And their singer is the best I've ever heard in marching band (cedar ridge from a few years ago is the only one even comparable). I haven't seen any of the dfw bands so I can only go off what I've heard from Arlington, but Reagan's show is the best I've seen in years.

I'd love to go this weekend.  I'll agree with everyone else that the top 3 should be CTJ, Reagan, and the Woodlands, but I have no idea what the order will end up being.

As for Tuesday night, Reagan was the cleanest band at the festival.  Very polished, even by Reagan standards, for this time of year.  Johnson was a bit sloppy in the new drill sections and lost some steam by the end of the show but had a great stadium rehearsal last night.  They could win BOA San Antonio in a few weeks, but they might be like Hebron last year and take a bit longer to get things in great shape.

Churchill, I think, will make finals, but be in the lower half of the draw.  They play well, and the British themed program should be a crowd pleaser, but their show has problems and will probably get rewritten a bit in the next couple of weeks.

I haven't seen the Woodlands but, I have no doubt, they'll be at or near the top at every contest.

I am looking forward to BOA San Antonio and hope to see every band this year.  It really is the best marching contest in the country.  The only band I'll miss will be Cedar Ridge, who will travel to California instead.
