Given how big they are (like at least 800 members), I would've expected them to make it. I guess that is a prime example that bigger doesn't always mean better. And for Walnut Grove, I know they are a first year program, but given that they are a PISD band, I guess I was having higher expectations for them, and was disappointed when they didn't make it. Wishing them well this season. Let's see what they can pull off by area. The biggest thing for Allen is that it’s hard to clean drill, even with their condensed size. And they definitely could have had a bit of a bigger sound, was expecting to be “blown away” but there wasn’t really anything. For grove, they just need to develop a more mutate ensemble sound, but they were still great for their first comp, and would love for them to sneak into finals at McKinney this weekend! Quote
