Pioneer really asserted themselves last year, that was a huge jump from 19th in 2015 to 2nd behind James Bowie in 2016.  We'll see where that curve goes this year, they're venturing out to a VERY competitive Austin early on as well this year.

Not sure if I am posting in the right section, but Del Rio High School has been proving themselves to be a great band with very nice programs.

Yes, Del rio and Laredo United have made quite an impression on me over the last few years. They are both bands to watch in the future, and I look forward to continue to watch them grow and creative beautiful shows.

Yes I agree about Pioneer. Last year they made an impression on me. I have not seen their show this year , but I am very excited about the rise of the valley bands into a higher, more competitive level of performance in both UIL and BOA!

Do you not consider Del Rio as part of south Texas?

Not too familiar with how they faired in Contests other than BOA McAllen this year which they did wonderfully. I personally went off of how these programs have done over the course of the past two seasons going off of the various BOAs, State Marching Contest and local contests. Looks like a very bright future for the program.
