In your opinion, which five bands will fill in the latter part of finals? No, I think the best way to look at this contest is by tiers. Each school in the tier could finish anywhere (e.g. 1-3 for Tier 1) within that tier. Don't take offense if you don't like where I put your band; I haven't seen everyone yet. I've also heard rumors of them doing poorly so far this season as far as learning and cleaning drill, but TwHS is quite a late bloomer! Conroe is definitely one of the harder regionals in the nation to both make finals and win at, but I think Austin and Dallas are both top to bottom more stacked. The last couple of years (and this year should continue the trend), bands that placed towards the bottom of finals at Austin would move up a few places at Conroe. I watched them perform their entire show after their homecoming football game and man... you're in for a treat. The show is very cool, although not necessarily clean yet, but will certainly stand out. As an alumni, I'm incredibly jealous to not be performing the show myself. They have been rejuvenated with new life and are here to stay. Cy Fair made their first BOA regional final appearance. Great show. The technicality that resides within each movement is insane. New uniforms are looking great. Friendswood placing 19th is a real shocker. Although it did seem like a lot of their electronics were not working. And incorrect prop staging. That will get better over time. Seven Lakes placing 14th with the visual tear they had in the beginning of one of their movements is actually pretty astounding. Overall, I loved the show. You can clearly see various personalities of the ensemble within each movement. Oak Ridge, gosh, that opener is just beautiful. Nothing else to say. Hendrickson's show is really coming along. The theme is simple yet effective. Their ballad was gorgeous. The 3D glasses go well with the uniforms. Timber Creek. 11th place really hurts. But their show is really unique.
