Well, the reigning (2022-2025) 4A State Champs for 4 consecutive years & another band very close behind them are moving to 5A. Enjoy!

What day in Feb does UIL announce the new Areas for marching/TMEA? 


Also does anyone know when Waxahachie is putting up that new high school. I think I heard they are finishing constuction in 2027 and splitting the current highschool in half. Will that put Spirit of Wax in 5A?

Waxahachie Creek opens in 2027 with 9th/10th Grade. Sophomores will supposedly be able to elect to stay at WHS if they want, so it's unlikely that we'll see Waxahachie moving down before the 2030 cycle.

I think once WCHS gets established, both schools will be at around 1900 students (according to the district's projections), so both would be 5A for a short period before going back to 6A.

Honestly nothing bothers me more on this forum than people spamming area threads when alignments aren’t even out yet.
