Texas 4A Area C 2025 marching band predictions.

But on the flip side of that, sometimes when the unexpected occurs we suddenly hear cries of “they didn’t deserve it” or “x band got robbed!”

I really hate when it devolves into complaints like this. The judges are pros with decades of experience. Trust them.

It’s because of who their show designer is and his affiliation with UIL music, but he also designs for literally dozens of other schools (including several in 4a) and they aren’t all winning. It’s just a bunch of bitter grapes.

I wonder if they will still do the full band retreat? Some of these bands have a 3+ hour drive back home on a school night. 
 

I wish there was some way to compress the schedule a bit to move finals up. 
 

I imagine a lot of bands will head out after their finals performance.

Do we know if any other 4A areas are postponed?

Area C bands will basically lose 2 rehearsal days (Monday & Tuesday) of fine tuning before State. Some won't have time for a run thru Monday morning either due to early call times.

Canton has gotten much better in the past two weeks or so. I have them in 5th for predictions

3. Bridge City (could change with SS)

6. Farmersville

10. Wills Point (lot better than last year, but lots of foot phasing)

Have you seen Canton in person? I haven't been able to find any video of them.

When I went to one of there home games I saw two piccolos that were really dominating every woodwind moment playing louder than the whole woodwind section

Question, when I saw WP show, when I saw there marching they were bending there knees while marching and letting there back of there foot touch the ground when they backwards march, is that a different marching technique because at first I thought it was bad marching but now everyone in the band is doing it more obviously?

Yes, there are different marching techniques. Most schools do straight leg marching, but some schools like WP do bent leg marching. This is the style you would see with SCV.

Probably just watching Finals, kind of bummed they moved it to Monday. I figured Sunday would have worked.
