They certainly have momentum! Grand Oaks or Collins, both have a legit shot over Oak (who still have drill left to learn on the closer). Interesting prelims draw schedule 27 Oak Ridge, 28 Woodlands, 29 Klein Collins (the dreaded spot after TWHS), 30 Grand Oaks ChristopherRoden 1 Quote

I believe both Tomball and New Caney have a solid chance at area, but feel as if Spring/Cain/Oak Ridge will place higher at the moment. Area F is shaping up to be quite competitive this year and It would be really nice to have a 12 band final/6 state advancements which would allow some of these talented groups to not be left out of finals contention. I'm sure many things will change between now and area so it will be interesting to see how it all turns out in the end! Quote

Dave609 Posted October 16, 2025 Posted October 16, 2025 I haven't seen Grand Oaks, but have seen many predict them as a potential state qualifier this year. What is their show this year and does anyone have any video of them? Quote

Popular Post BravoBand Posted October 18, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 18, 2025 Wow! Humble, MacArthur, Nimitz, and Davis all received 1's versus last year. Dekaney got 2's versus 1's last year but with a net gain of 3, Area F will qualify 6 bands for State if all the bands in Region 9 receive 1's on Tuesday. That would make the Area competition much more exciting and guarantee at least 1 new band going to state. Justabandchild, BrassMomof2, gods hornline and 1 other 4 Quote

Tmhsmom Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 I'm hearing talk that there are less band. Meaning that there may only be 4 bands going to state. Not sure if it's true. Quote
