even though im not very fond of some of these shows i put the most realistic places based on scores and such (although not entirely because then that would mean friendswood would be around 5th place and that seems unlikely)

hopefully kempner is able to sneak into state again! that state spot is not always guranteed, but I hope those kids over there get that opportunity to like they did last year

Way more than I have. I have not made any predictions because I have only seen YouTube videos and I have been a fan long enough to know that a mid season video is not enough info to base an end of season placement guess on. 😂 You have a lot more good data to go on!

The announcer said “the 10 bands advancing to finals are…” and then proceeded to read 12 bands names.

Guess they just forgot to put 11th and 12th on the sheet? Odd, since prelims correctly shows 12 finalists. 

 

I love love love Friendswood's show, HOWEVER, I reallllly wish it wasn't loud-loud-loud all the way. The ballad in particular I THINK would really benefit from more of a focus on making the moment have feeling rather than volume. If anything, giving it dynamic contrast would make the volume in the closer more impactful. Because holy cow can those kids push some air. That's the only time I've questioned if I should've had earplugs in this season.
