You're not being rude.... lol...... it's early in the season.... LS is the past TMEA winner... I know it doesn't mean much...... but I willing to be hopeful...

LS is a recent Honor Band winner, but Hebron won the year before in 6A, which is a completely different ball game. The only reason Hebron didn't win this year is because they were ineligible because they won last time they were eligible. Not to discredit LS, but 5A finals and 6A finals are two completely different contests.

Same for Lone Star..... Lone Star plays music that's "6A music".... they weren't  able to eligible to compete this time around....

Well, yes. But the level of competition is different. LS is incredible, but the quality of those top level 6A bands is completely different.

That's what  I heard when I was in school at the original Frisco High school..... Back then as a 3A we here playing 5A music  beating larger schools with bigger ensembles at competitions. Here the Meyerson contest was one that we won i believe twice... I'm old now and from the 1900's so my memory isn't the greatest.... Elsa's procession to the cathedral was one and molly on the shore , mock Morris and children's march Irish tune from  county derry.... I believe it's early in the year they do have  a chance...

There’s literally no such thing as 5A or 6A music. There’s just music and bands that play it. Hebron competes against more bands that play music at that level, and they play it at a higher level.

I think we’re all aware that the PML exists, but to pretend that 5A and 6A competition is even remotely comparable is ignorant at best and delusional at worst.

^when you have no logical argument lol. LS is incredible and they’ll absolutely be the highest scoring 5A there, and it shouldn’t be close. They’ll even beat most of the 6As. But they don’t hold a candle to the best of the 6As, and that’s why entertaining the thought of them being close to hebron is outlandish.

Pretty solid list! I’m really rooting for argyle to place a lot higher but I’m not sure they’re there yet. I would overwhelmingly give Celina the music caption, but not the guard caption. I think that last one is up in the air for any 4a.

My only contention is that Sulphur is going to be a bit lower in these ranking. Maybe only a few spots down. Other than that, it’s hard to argue.

I could definitely see other schools moving around a lot since this is our first real look at them this year. The bottom 4 in finals could definitely all be swapped out for one of the other schools I left out, just depends on how the perform that day.
