Well actually I take that back. Waxahachie does have a new school that’s expected to be opened in fall of 2027. Time will tell what will happen there. Rockwall, since their 2018 state run have stayed really close to that state qualifier so they’re probably consistent enough to stay around there. Heath ? No finals in 23’, finals in 24’ state in 25’ ….26’ To be continued. the dark horse or horses I feel will come out of one of the Mesquite schools. Idk if it plays a part but their 5A programs are solid. We could very well see all 3 of their 5A go to state this Saturday. Does that put pressure on the 2 in 6A? Idk, but they’re both trending in the right direction. If not Mesquite, I’d say Royse City or Tyler would be the ones to get in. As far as advancing, Waxahachie until the new school opens, Rockwall barring something crazy happening, the 3 and 4? Way too early to tell but I could see a Berkner or a JJ Pearce taking one of those spots. Should be interesting. I think you forgot Forney in your 2026 prediction..."As far as advancing, Waxahachie until the new school opens, Rockwall barring something crazy happening, the 3 and 4? If this area stays the same (PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD), I think we would see the craziest battle between Sachse and the Rockwall schools 😃 for the 3 and the 4... excited to see the sequel of Sachse vs Rockwall Duo 2026. " Actually the mistake was I meant to put “Waxahachie and *Rockwall are not gonna let go of those two spots” meaning I believe Waxahachie will be 1st and Rockwall 3rd, I believe someone else other than Forney will be 2nd (I know it’s an unpopular pick at this time but just my gut feeling on these too early predictions lol) probably Sachse at the 2 and a JJ Pearce or Berkner at the 4th Quote

Popular Post saxobeat Posted October 27, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 27, 2025 Wow, this was a really fantastic year for performances. Of course, a giant round of applause to Rockwall ISD for their two qualifiers. I honestly had Heath in the 4 after seeing both shows, Heath had some of the most surprising sound I've heard in a while. Lake Highlands' show really appealed to me! I like the much more "chill" vibe they have going on. Really great pacing throughout. Super happy to see their high placement! Richardson's props were so cool! Those stages were ridiculously high. I really, REALLY loved Rockwall's ballad. That solo is just perfection. The other big standout I saw was Garland; I do think their ranking doesn't reflect their performance. I honestly had them in the 10-15 range as I'd seen their growth. IMO a bit more visual appeal would've pushed them over the top but still, I thought they deserved higher. Congrats to everyone!! Keyboard_Fanatic Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Does anyone know if that sousa that fell during the end of prelims is okay? It looked like a pretty hard fall and he was sitting on the ground for a while Quote
JFNDOWBFAN Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 OK NEXT Question for those you HAVE been to state. We know the prelim schedule, we have the room booked…what else should we plan for What can we expect for ticket prices? Is there a parking fee? Assume we should plan for patches and shirts? Do we need to plan x amount of time to get back in for prelim awards monday night? Quote

Now that we're speaking of significant jumps, North Forney placing 15th last year and jumping to 6th this year was pretty awesome. If they build off of this we could very well see a new state contender next year paradiddlesnodiddy 1 Quote

John Horn has made a crazy amount of improvement compared to last year. I think that's one of the things that makes this area so great. All of the bands have shown amazing improvement and it's really difficult to predict where any band will place MoBone 1 Quote

There is a parking fee and if I remember correct I think there’s no in and out privileges so if your hotel is in walking distance that’s best. Yes to patches and shirts. Tickets are less than BOA but more than UIL and Area. Maybe $20-$25? Prelim awards will be packed so if you care to sit in a certain area you might want to get back way early. JFNDOWBFAN 1 Quote

Popular Post Mell0supremacy01 Posted October 28, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 28, 2025 just heard from a duncanville marcher that their band is 50% freshmen, and that they didn’t get their closer until two weeks ago because of the director controversy. I just want to say bravo to the duncanville marchers, and that getting 9th with everything they had to deal with is truly amazing. don’t let the drop get to you guys keep it up!!!
