Hello123454321 Posted September 26, 2025 Posted September 26, 2025 I managed to watch Wylie's show at their homecoming game last week. Their show design is really cool with their props being radio themed, and their ballad... Their ballad gave me the chills. Might be the best ballad I've watched from them. However, they do need to add more choreo. Otherwise, they have a pretty good chance this year, hopefully beating SLC or Prosper. Quote

Just my experience. To be fair though high schools are kinda the same. Some people are taking band for credit not because they want to and some people who love playing. At least the people that are there for fun want to be there. WanderingTraveler 1 Quote

Fair point, I just think that since the objectives of high school and college are so drastically different, it’s hard to compare. bassboneman 1 Quote

Popular Post Tubalord11 Posted September 28, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 28, 2025 Will probably change after next weekend but for now: 1. Marcus 2. Coppell/Wakeland 3. Wakeland/Coppell 4. Prosper 5. SLC 6. Lone Star 7. Mckinney/Wylie 8. Wylie/Mckinney 9. Lebanon Trail 10. Braswell 11. Forney 12. Rockwall/Rock Hill --- 13. Rock Hill/Rockwall 14. Burleson Centennial 15. MN Potential finalist: Reedy, Mckinney North, Burleson Centennial, Walnut Grove I think with seeing how many of these bands we're at the top of this weekends at probably will be close in terms of next weekend, that 10-15 will probably be very tight score wise. I'd have my top 10 as locks, kind of hard to tell because this will be most of these bands first boa of the season and they sometimes place way differently from UIL to BOA score sheets, but yeah something like this 10 minutes ago, Drumlineking said: Any new predictions for this after yesterday’s results? dtxdrummer, OGFISD99, 1234567 and 1 other 4 Quote

Popular Post FullRetreat Posted September 28, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 28, 2025 Here’s a little bit of an analysis last year to this year: Bands who attended last year but are not attending this year: Washington H.S. (OK) McKinney Boyd H.S. (TX) Mustang H.S. (OK) Azle H.S. (TX) Jenks H.S. (OK) Wylie East H.S. (TX) Keller Central H.S. (TX) Bentonville H.S. (AR) Lake Ridge H.S. (TX) L.D. Bell H.S. (TX) Grapevine H.S. (TX) North Mesquite H.S. (TX) Coweta H.S. (OK) Waller H.S. (TX) Bands attending this year that did not attend last year: Rockwall-Heath H.S. (TX) Rick Reedy H.S. (TX) Little Elm H.S. (TX) Melissa H.S. (TX) Burleson Centennial H.S. (TX) Coppell H.S. (TX) Forney H.S. (TX) Last Years Finalists: 1st: 87.00 Marcus 2nd: 86.95 Wakeland 3rd: 85.75 Bentonville, AR (Not Attending) 4th: 85.75 Prosper 5th: 84.15 Southlake Carroll 6th: 83.50 Wylie 7th: 81.75 L.D. Bell (Not Attending) 8th: 80.15 Mustang, OK (Not Attending) 9th: 80.05 Keller Central (Not Attending) 10th: 79.55 Braswell 11th: 79.45 Lone Star 12th: 77.45 Rockwall My “Locks” for Finals: Marcus, Coppell, Wakeland, Prosper, Lone Star, Soutlake Carrol, and Wylie. That leaves five spots for the following bands that I believe have a high or somewhat high probability of advancing: Mckinney, Forney, Lebanon Trail, Walnut Grove, Rock Hill, Rockwall, Burleson Centennial, Mckinney North, and Reedy. It’s going to be very close towards the back half of the bands who advance to finals. Good luck to every band participating! JFNDOWBFAN, JazzRun, SharksAreCool and 2 others 5 Quote

flamingo123 Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 I think LT will be ahead of the other Area B bands that are on the fence of making finals. In my opinion they will score better on BOA judging sheets than schools like reedy or McKinney north. Will be fun to see though! JFNDOWBFAN 1 Quote

Lebanon Trail After watching and reviewing the scores at the Director's assistant showcase in Melissa, I was in disbelief when I heard McKinney and Lonestar's show. This could change how placements unfold this next weekend at the BOA Bedford or McKinney Marching Invitational, but I highly believe this is when McKinney and Prosper are fighting for that spot at UIL Area J as well. 👀 Quote
Tubalord11 Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 So ummmm just saw Centennials run from USBands and ummmm they are not playing around, possibly their best show ever?
