HagsTPT Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Yep this website is starting to bug out but really stellar performance by the pride of Pearland LOVED all there super clean drill moves as well as their technical woodwind feature Quote
Popular Post WanderingTraveler Posted November 3, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2025 Yeah I don't think I will be able to get out band-by-band updates with the website traffic and work stuff. BUT NORTH SHORE?!?!?! To me, I think this is a potential finalist...Completely not on my radar, but incredibly clean, super strong sounds, great articulation. I think by UIL standards, this should perform very well. Wow! Great job. AWF2014, Vegas Band Fan and Bandparents1234123121 3 Quote
HagsTPT Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 LOVEEEE the Scheherazade brought by North shore and just blown away once again by their immense power and crazy double tonguing by their trombone trio and just their brass in general just well done NSHS 🙌 Quote
HagsTPT Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Yeah this traffic is getting out of hand not sure how long I can keep this up but for edinburg being such a small band they really delivered on their sound and especially loved all their music selections and small features especially the sax feature congrats on them for making state Quote
HagsTPT Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 From being in same district as Bridgeland I have seen them perform NUMEROUS of times and they just keep getting better and better and this is probably the best they have ever performed and I think it'll be safe to say they are definite locks for finals after that prelim performance I loved everything about it from their soloists woodwinds brass especially those visuals in the end BRAVO 👏 WanderingTraveler 1 Quote
WanderingTraveler Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Bridgeland definitely brought their best. Love the closer, what a beautiful way to end the show. Another crazy talented group competing for a spot in finals. Outstanding run! AWF2014 and Lemon 2 Quote
HagsTPT Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 The website wasn't working during LT but as for CEDAR FREAKING RIDGE LOVEEE what they did for their rendition of pines of Rome into their show and sorta reminded me of how Pearland did it last year but love the entire spooky vibe with the red costumes, spike props and THOSE BIG eyes well done CEDAR FREAKING RIDGE!!! HagsTPT Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 HOLY MOLY MARCUS PERCUSSION!!! They stole the show in that insane percussion feature as well as that timpanist looking like they were having a great time. Very solid performance both musically and visually across the board though but its gonna be difficult to see them medal with performances from Hebron and Flomo being on another level FaultLineBlues and WanderingTraveler 2 Quote
WanderingTraveler Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Great showing from Marcus! Always love listening to the percussion chops in this group. Also beautiful brass quartet in the ballad, really enjoyed this. Quote

Popular Post utee94 Posted November 3, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2025 I'm not a percussionist but now I definitely want a timpani cart of my own! That was so cool. And Cedar Ridge's shows are always so fun, this year is no different. WanderingTraveler, HagsTPT and FaultLineBlues 2 1 Quote

itsjaredh97 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Vandegrift's semitruck carrying all their instruments and sound equipment just got hit by a train less than a mile away from the stadium. Thankfully no one injured but am hearing reports that most of their equipment did not make it. Still a developing story. https://news4sanantonio.com/news/local/emergency-crews-on-scene-following-train-and-18-wheeler-crash-near-downtown-safd-ems-first-responders RandomGuardPerson, hsbandnerd212 and WanderingTraveler 3 Quote

WanderingTraveler Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Forney mellos are putting in some work, wow. Quote
HagsTPT Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 I haven't been really paying attention to the last few bands due to Vandy's unfortunate accident but WOW forney put on a show with a nice Wild West into the show with many talented soloists and love all those visuals brought by the guard just very well done Quote
utee94 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Oh man I feel so terrible for Vandy Thank goodness nobody was injured. I know they're attempting to source replacement instruments from the other bands that are there. And the Leander ISD 5A bands have also offered to bring them anything we have, if they still need something. I can't imagine having to pull together all those instruments and test them out by 9:15. Sure hope they can make it work. I really do like their show this year and have it in my current top 3. AWF2014 and HagsTPT 2 Quote
MHS Band Dad Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Every band there will offer to help - no one wants to move up the ladder that way. I know our band would offer in a heartbeat. The good news is Leander has multiple bands there and can likely pull everything together utee94 and WanderingTraveler 2 Quote

Popular Post TrebleMaker2 Posted November 3, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2025 Oh my heart breaks for Vandy! Of course the band community will come together and provide anything they can-that is one of the best things about band-but just dealing with all the upset in routine, playing on a borrowed instrument, etc. would be surreal. They have a beautiful show and I hope they have time to process, reset, and overcome this for their best performance yet! So thankful that no one was injured!
