No they got a 1-1-2 but since majority rules, South Hills advances. It was Polytechnic, Trimble Tech and Wyatt got a 2.

Assuming Cen10 and Aledo both do well, who do y’all think will come out on top? I don’t even know what Cen10’s show theme is I haven’t seen them yet!

I think it will be between Aledo and Colleyville. They beat Cen10 twice at Birdville

Beyond that, I think Birdville and Richland can both both beat cen10, and Birdville can also beat Richland too

Although Burleson Centinnial lost to Colleyville twice the judging is different at area, there isnt a guard caption which was a key factor for Colleyville to beat Burleson centinnial, Burleson centinnial took music visual captions against Colleyville but it was close. But yeah dont get me wrong Colleyville’s music and visuals is still extremely strong. Burleson centennial vs Colleyville in this area is seriously just a toss up imo

The results of birdville marching fest were dumb. Centennials show is sloppy, whereas colleyville just lacks exciting elements. Because colleyville does have clean brass, they will definitely beat centennial. Centennial will place lower and isn’t even necessarily guaranteed the perc caption

you have to remember that the colony beat birdville by quite a lot at Don hanna memorial marching contest and cen10 had quite a gap between them and the colony

UIL judging is not like Don Hanna or birdville. The previous competitions basically mean nothing

Sorry, this isn’t completely true. What I mean is that just because a band did something at a previous comp, doesn’t mean the placements will stay the same

Congrats to Aledo and Burleson Centenial for making finals at BOA Waco and to Grapevine for winning a competitive Class 2A championship. These bands showed why Area F is one of the most competitive in the state. BC and Aledo were already pretty much locks for state but now Grapevine enters the highly competitive race with Richland, Colleyville Heritage and Midlothian for state spots.

After BOA Waco last night, I feel that Area will be Aledo's to lose. They did fantastic and I feel as though they have potential for top 5 at state this year.

Area season is finally upon us! This area is extremely competitive this year, and making state, mainly those last two spots, will be a real battle. I don't yet know how many they are taking to state, but it looks like it will be 5? Any information would be great, still waiting for the schedule to be released. Anyways, here are my Final predictions for this area: 

1st. Aledo 

 

2nd. Colleyville Hertiage 

3rd. Burleson Centennial 

 

4th. Richland/Birdville/Midlothian 

5th. B-ville/Richland/Midlo

6th. Midlo/B-ville/Richland 

7th. Azle

8th. Grapevine 

9th. Burleson 

10th. Joshua 

 

I could see Azle placing higher, maybe even making state, they just tend to have more Boa styled shows, but they are really good this year. Good luck to everyone competing here next weekend, will be fun to see how things shake out!!
