What I noticed was a lot of people checking this site to see what Dan and Dan's comments were after every performance.

Okay so they watched 9 out of 10 bands. They could have gone home where it was nice and warm after the finalists were announced but they stayed and watched. How many other bands stayed and watched? Just sayin..

Im suprised about Cedar Ridge (and RR of course), I really thought that they would be advancing to State... This really shakes things up for San Antonio. Not that it has a direct reltionship to poor scores in BOA, but I wonder how bands like RR are going to take this defeat, are they going to give up or have an amazing week of rehearsals... Round Rock will use this as motivation for BOA, believe me.

The Round Rock video is really poor quality unfortunetly. The best videos I've seen of RR are all private.

There were 11. They had mistakenly announced another band for finals instead of LT. They let the other band compete since they had already been announced for finals.

There's another new competition in the area called, Texas Marching Classic being held that same weekend that will be held at RRISD stadium. Some of the bands attending are Georgetown,Vandegrift,McNeil,Pflugerville,Akins,Westwood, Cedar Park, CTJ and others. Bowie is going to GN and won't be attending for that reason.

FYI, there's a new marching competition called Texas Marching Classic at RRISD stadium.

Round Rock's show is "The Raven" by Poe.. Intense and fast. RR is working with a new Head Director( prev assistant director) but all key people still in place.. So they should continue to impress without missing a beat... All I can say about Drumline and Colorguard is. WOW... THEY ARE IMPRESSIVE. On a different note... Does anyone know who is attending Westlake Marching Contest this year? Their new assistant director is amazing.

I think there will still most likely be 6 bands advancing. Area D is losing Leander and Georgetown, but gaining Lake Travis, Hendrickson and Cedar Ridge.

I believe 4 of the 5 cymbal chicks are freshman.

I have to say your uniforms do look really good. They're even shown in FJM catalog.
