Is anyone doing back to back tests? Im a little apprehensive about walking out of the APUSH exam and literally going straight into my next exam (AP Euro). Hopefully I will be functional enough to put one foot in front of the other once those tests are done with me.

Their music IS really sweet. I don't like it, though, when they have lyrics. It might be a little too dark for an entire show though. Possibly for one or two movements. Also, the tempos they do dont really sound like practical marching tempos. I think it could be done, but it'd be really fast or too slow. I think the music would be a cool thing for the marching field. It would be a style that not many are familiar with. But the logistics of it would be weird, and possibly too complex to be worth marching it. Who knows. I like the idea though. -
Interesting? yes. More of last year?... I dont know how I feel about that. It's a neat idea, but I think it could be a show of it's own, not a play off of what they did last year. Either way, I can't wait to see it. And in that aspect, they have succeeded.

I do. But I downloaded the music and recorded it myself. It was transcribed so I dont know how correct it is. And plus it's me, and I'm not very good so it might sound a little bad. -

I'm liking the idea of either a different prediction point system or a more complex. A few ideas come across me while thing about this but I dont know if they are possible or realistic. -
TAKS is a joke. They should let those who have aced every other end-of-the-year "standardized test" not come in like the seniors. Seriously, it's a waste of time.

I feel like we're on the verge of a huge Texas-Indianan rivalry. Especially with the massive Texan band turn out for next years GN's. That would be fun/interesting as long as it stays harmless and not out of hand. I'll make both sides better, and that's what this is all about right? -

Is there no IndiBands.com or something? They need there dose of Band-Nerdage so they come to a Texas website? A part of me is ok with that. -
Is Having A Girlfriend/Boyfriend Overrated?
Lustra.exe replied to Aegis Fang's topic in General Off-Topic
When you are a teenager the feelings you have for someone maybe great. And at that point it is probably the greatest you've ever felt, allowing you to believe it's love. Just because you've never felt stronger for a person doesn't mean that it is love. And back in "the old days", those marriages were arranged by the parents of those two people. And divorse was unheard of. Almost illegal. Marriage was base on economical power between families and had little to do with love. -

Very valid points everyone. But this raises a new question. Not to venture to far off from the topic but: Do you think "love" in high school is a plausible thing? And by "love", I mean the real deal. Not the puppy love that most seem to be confused with. Much respect, Dynasty, not bring in your relationship. Very gentlemanlike. Personally, like I said before (and all of you might take paralleling stances on this to the bf/gf question), it is possible yet rare. And most of us like to think that we are part of the rarity and are actually in love. -

Is Having A Girlfriend/Boyfriend Overrated?
Lustra.exe replied to Aegis Fang's topic in General Off-Topic
The fact is, is that most high schoolers lack the maturity of having a long term relationship in mind. Is it possible? Yes. However, it is very rare. And from what I have seen, I know a few couples that have been together for 16 months+, and they are completely miserable. You're right, it really depends on what you are looking to get out of the relationship. But seeing as most either don't know what they want or are looking for a short term physical relationship to meet the status quo that society has set for us, it can be assumed that in high school having a girlfriend/boyfriend is overrated. However, I believe it necessary to go through a relationship or two while you are young so you can learn and discover what you want/don't-want. Be it, I don't think it is imperative to the process of growing up because boyfriend/girlfriend or not, your heart will be broken at one point or another. And I do believe that heart break is extremely important to experience. Emotional growth in your teenage years is just as critical as your physical and mental expansion. -
