An 8 year series? Don't you think it may get boring after about three? Granted I love BTBAM, and Colors, but that may be excessive. Although if I took any BTBAM song and put it on the field, it would be "Selkies: The Endless Obsession" from the Alaska album. Although, I have imagined what the bluegrass breakdown in Ants of Sky would look like on the field too

Ever notice how the air gets just a little colder right before he shows up? -

It really all depends on the mind set of the band. If they use there ears to much, the echo will throw you off. But if you find time through the drum major or the drum line when there isn't a DM to be seen, you should do fine. Mr. Mitchoka (not sure if that's how it's spelled), the fine arts director of NISD, said that the echo threw Taft off almost from the very beginning. Does the individual judging prelim ranking come out? -

I think the echo in the dome threw some bands off. Apparently Taft, another contender, completely fell apart because of it. Definitely a competition I would like to forget. -

37. I wouldn't be surprised if this area gets broken up next state year. -

Yeah, its a split school rivalry. We were very successful in the 80's and 90's, then O'Connor opened up. And I don't think our current director knew how to handle the change. Hopefully bands like Reagan doesn't do the same, I really enjoy there shows. -

^Rather it be Jay than O'Connor. Just kidding, just the rivalry talking. -

It was just surprising to us because of the two previous times we saw them, and beat them as well. But props to them for doing something right. I still shook some of there hands after the results were given out. -

Well, looks like John Jay did something right since I last saw them. They made finals. Disappointing night for us. We were in shock when we found out what we got. SA Taft who was sitting right by us had the same look on there faces when they found out they didn't make it. -
^Hah, I have a friend who wants to be a band director but wants to go to Texas A&M. I've tried to convince her to consider other schools, but she "grew up an Aggie" and is to stubborn to consider anything else. I got accepted into Stephen F. Austin State yesterday. I'm excited =)

They are, but I don't think there quite ready for finals yet. I enjoyed there music, but I only saw them waiting to go on at the East Central Contest. Our football team hasn't played each other yet. Also, my good friends father is the new director there. (or I may be thinking of Warren) Really, all NISD schools is on the rise in my opinion. I won't add my predictions, because I will be competing in the competition. But I do feel very good about our band, even after our BOA debacle. -

^Hah, when I first read the schedule, I thought there were 41 bands performing because there were 41 slots. I was like 'OMG there's going to be 8 going to State?" But then I realized 4 slots were breaks. Should be a loooong day. -

74th Percentile with 0.825HZ difference -
We just lost to a first year team, with no seniors, and not that many juniors. Awesome. At least it was close this game.

This weeks was bad for me. Ladanian Tomlinson isnt being LT yet, and Maurice Jones Drew was on a bye week. Still held my own though.

[Major Event] UIL Region Contest 2008
rpd replied to Danpod's topic in Past Contests, Events, and Festivals Archive
Probably. Region 11 gave a lot of ones today. I don't know exactly who got them though other than us though. -
Our Schedule is weird sometimes. Because our district is so big we have to have games on Friday and Saturday. If the game is on a friday. Monday: Off Tuesday: 4:30-7:00 Wensday: 4:30-6:30 Thursday: 4:30-7:00 Friday: Run through of entire half time show, then the game. If the game is on a Saturday Monday: Off Tuesday: 4:30-700 Wensday: 4:30-6:30 Thursday: Off Friday: 4:30-7:00 Saturday: Run through of entire half time show, then game. Although lately with competitions going on, we've have been subbing one of the rehearsals for a Saturday morning rehearsal.

Leading the pack

No. I think Marcus and LD Bell will be battling for first. Naturally the one that doesn't gets first, gets second. -

Can't wait. I've never done a production in the Alamodome, just "Fun shows". We've made finals the last two times, but haven't been able to make it past tenth each time. Im glad its closer to home this year. I loved going to visit McAllen after living there for three years. But after BOA Arlington, I don't want to do any more performances with 3 hours of sleep. -

I'm thinking LD Bell and Marcus battling for 1st. Then Stephen F. Austin, Cedar Park and The Woodlands battling for the bronze. I'm giving the edge to Cedar Park right now for third. -
Im 2-1-1 after the simulated first two games. Of course im just assuming i've won this week. Just so long Kevin Boss doesn't fumble the ball 20 times. So far this year I've been cursed. Cut Ronnie Brown, 39 fantasy points vs the Patriots. Bench Deangelo Williams, 32 fanstasy points vs. the Chiefs.

Nope, they stand on black props and where shades instead. Was it at least a Bari case?
