This time! We'll see how Area goes! These two programs are huge rivals over the past couple years. Glenn is out to get LH at Area for sure, but LH brought it on Wednesday night.

It was a great night!!

Excited to shift our focus to UIL this week! Region 32 happens this Wednesday!

How many make finals here?

I know Glenn has had some staff turnover and they are building their way back. I was told by someone involved in the band that they didn’t do any BOA comps and significantly fewer comps this year simply because they paid for so many last year that they didn’t even place in. They do look better than last year, however!

It is a good show! They're pretty neck-in-neck with Liberty Hill. Glenn was .2 ahead of LH in prelims and .4 ahead in Finals at Vista on Saturday. Glenn was outstanding music caption for 5A and LH was outstanding general effect.

Congratulations to Legacy Ranch on their very first ever marching competition! This brand new, all freshmen band performed beautifully! Nowhere else to go but up!

I saw someone say they were taking 5 bands from Area H this year. Is this definite or just speculation?

Is there a 5A Area H thread yet, or am I just missing it?

Shoutout to Liberty Hill for their first BOA finals appearance in school history! The bands yesterday were phenomenal. Congratulations to everyone and good luck this Bandtober!

Excited to shift our focus to Vista!

I attended prelims in person today and have been watching finals on the live stream. The stadium is super nice, but those train horns and construction happening ON the building just adjacent to the stadium sure were a distraction! The horns would completely drown out the bands!

Has anyone seen Glenn’s show this year? I’ve heard different things about where they are and how they’re doing, but haven’t seen them yet myself.

Thanks for this! It was a great experience for our little band! Our directors let our kids stay and watch finals last night to cheer on and learn from all these amazing bands. Looking forward to San Marcos!

Liberty Hill is excited to take our learning experience as a first time BOA competitor yesterday and bring “Drawn Upon” to San Marcos on Saturday!

Hi! New to the Forum! I'm a mom of a Liberty Hill guard member. I feel super proud of where we are this year and we're so excited to be participating in BOA for the first time to kick off this season. Don't count us out -- we made state for the first time in 40 years last year after a late band director hire and a late start in the season. We're excited to share our new show with everyone! We can't wait to cheer on our neighboring bands also competing. We'll ALSO be in San Marcos next week! Good luck everyone!!
