Yeah, and I get that it's been a formula for success. But, I still don't like it. Plus I tend to think the shows dont really communicate the big ideas the want to very well (not a flomo dig, just a general comment on shows similar in style).

Ngl, I am not a fan of flomos show. It all feels pseudointellectual.

I think we are all sleeping on a real contender at this comp. Panther Creek I think definitely has what it takes to make it into finals, and maybe even break into the top half. I definitely think they're up there with the likes of LT.

As an ardent Panther Creek glazer I think its very possible they can pull a 2nd. Visually speaking they're one of if not the best in Frisco, or at least they were last year.

I won't rule out a Cen10 comeback as impossible, but I don't think it's likely. Cen10 was state finalist and powerhouse, but that was before LT was built and the talent was split.

While Panther Creek's visual program is definitely one of the best in FISD, I dont think they'd be able to beat out bands like LT or Mckinney North in terms of music.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Wakelands program. Sounds very much woodwinds focused and I dont think it shows off their very good brass enough. I also think Aledo has a cool program too with Trittico and October (Shosti).

Unfortunately, the previous honor band can't compete, so Lone Star is out

I know the Leander schools have some pretty good concert programs as well as LT, Wakeland, and Roma. I think those bands listed above have some of the better piece selections then the other honor band contenders.

At every level judging has the chance to be off. It's subjective (especially with that silly Content and Design caption) and all the judges are human too.
