Do yall have any predictions now that most of the area finalist have revealed their show themes? Here are my predictions. 1st/2nd: Celina/SS (again). Both bands should continue to have success in 4A. Although SS show theme has been done many times they do have some good music selections and seems like they will make it unique. I’m ready to see Celina’s show!! 3rd/4th: NL/PG. both of these bands have shows great improve these past few years and should be some top contenders at area and possibly state! I do think PG has a good chance to over come NL they have improved significantly every year and it seems that NL has struggled a bit since Mr. Jones left in 2023. 5th/6th: Lumberton/BC. These 2 bands always seem to be neck and neck. They both have really amazing shows but it’ll definitely be close! I could see Lumberton placing higher but I have them here for now. BC I’ve seen have their ups and downs. I honestly enjoyed their area performance more than state but we will see what happens! 7th/8th: Farmersville/VA. These 2 placements will be controversial if there are only 7 state qualifiers. In 2024 VA I think was supposed a state qualifier in prelims but dropped down in finals. After seeing FHS show theme I think it could really be a toss up. It’s a fun show but I don’t know how judges will feel about it. I have not yet seen anything from VA. 9th/10th/11th/12th: It could be really anyone here with the stacked area but I think the more likely ones will be Canton/PT/Community/WP/Sunnyvale. It’ll definitely be close but it’ll just depend on their execution. I did hear that PT is getting a new assistant director..

Head director from West Plains is moving to Sachse HS. Do yall think this will affect West Plains at all this upcoming season?

This looks amazing! Can’t wait to see what Bridge City can do with this show.

Mount Pleasant could host it as well. They already host the region 4 marching contest. It could possibly work as well.

Sulphur Springs

if Celina were to get top 5 in prelims they would perform 6th in finals, if the got 6th-10th in prelims they would go first in finals if I’m correct.

I wonder if North Lamar will go last at finals. I think that have a good chance at finals but with the 1st performance of the day do yall really think they can pull off top 5 from that early of a performance? I just wish them the best especially after the same situation happened 2 years ago where they were the first performance of the day.

After reading some of your comments I think we need to understand that students from all of these bands read these replies. If you support a band go ahead and say all your positives about them. I don’t think we should be going out and saying negative things about other bands. They all work hard and there’s probably a reason why they placed what they did last night. Again if you like a band or bands go and support them if you don’t then don’t talk about them at all. Let’s be proud of everyone regardless if they qualified or not because again they all worked extremely hard!

Prelims Schedule!

My predictions for area as of now! 1st: SS/Celina, I think they will really battle it off for that top spot this year. 2nd: Celina/SS, I see Celina most likely getting this spot, SS has been very powerful this season! 3rd: Farmersville, They have really improved and I can see them being on top of this area and possibly even the state! 4th: Canton, after last years state results I’m positive that they are going all out this year! 5th: NL, haven’t seen much of them but after last year with new directors and this years current results I see them here for now. 6th: Lumberton, I think they are going to be a close one this year! I’ve seen a bit of them and they are powerful but could use some cleaning. 7th-10th: Paris/VA/PT/Community, Can’t say much about any of these bands but from these past comps I think they will some of the bands lower in finals.

For sure, 2nd-5th place could be literally anyone! Panther Creek is definitely taking the gold this year they are killing it out there! But we will see.
