Dville has always been a solid group so a 2nd place finish at Birdville isn’t an anomaly -

Oh I definitely agree. All im saying is that Waxahachie is the only band I feel absolutely solid about as of right now. -

I think as of now my only sure fire lock is Waxahachie. If there was some marching band betting system, my money would be safe in their hands 😇 -

Here’s Dville at Wylie. Liking the show as far 👏🏽, if they can clean it up musically a bit knock their closer out of the park when they put it on the field, then I think they’ll be in good shape come area -

Yeah I feel like we have the GE debate every year. I’m of the opinion that maybe 10% less of the score for GE of what we have now is a little more reasonable but that’s just me without repeating too much of what some other people have mentioned already. -

They’ll be fine they have a great show that I think will do really well at Area and state. I genuinely hate BOA regional scoring to tell you the truth but that’s based off my own personal gripes 😅 regardless I’m always in here paying attention to BOA events and scores so jokes on me -

Not sure about Berkner but I’ve seen a couple snippets of Dville and I really enjoyed what I saw and heard! They seem to be taking more risks musically which is something I’ve wanted to see from them for a while now. -

No for reals I’m even more excited now after seeing how close Waxahachie and Forney were at HEB 👀 -

Wow I didn’t know that at all thanks for educating me on that. That’s really unfortunate I hope they can bounce back at some point -

Fair enough on Horn. I just remember them having that great run in Area C that one year so I’ve always had them in mind since then so hoping to see a return to form from them sometime soon. -

I really like the balance of this area tbh. Even with Waxahachie and Forney being the front runners, it feels like a lot of groups, even some that aren’t mentioned as often but are still know for being excellent such as Sachse, John Horn, and Lake Highlands could definitely have a shot at top 4 if they play their cards correctly. I also think 4 state spots seems pretty fair (imo at least) for this group as it feels achievable to snag a spot but is also not a walk in the park either. I do wish things were a little more balanced for our friends in Area B and J tho. As for Berkner, I think this is a great opportunity for them to build on last year’s success and hopefully start producing more state appearances. Finally, something I’d really like to see is for Lake Highlands to make a great run and snag one of those spots. They were consistent finalists in Area B these last couple years and with the right show and execution, they can definitely find success here.
