    Congrats to Southlake Carroll! A phenomenal year for all y'all. I am thinking you will make finals at State. To slightly misquote Bette Midler, you have the wind beneath your wings!

    This is such an unusual year. So many of the pre-season "locks" like LD Bell, Duncanville etc. are not gonna be there. So many new names. Maybe this is the great reset and as King Arthur said to Sir Bedivere, "The old order changeth, yielding place to new."

    Top 12 predictions anyone? I assume the "usual" Vandegrift Ronald Reagan Woodlands FloMo CT Johnson Hebron Marcus Vista Ridge Cedar Ridge Keller Westlake Coppell Not in that order of course. Just the Top 12. But what do y'all think of the "breakout" bands from DFW: Timber Creek and Southlake Carroll? Carroll, especially has surprised us consistently in a good way. Timber Creek shocked me yesterday with a Top 5 finish. I had them at 7th. Good momentum for both these fantastic bands.

    Boy! When I am wrong... I am wrong! What a shocker tonight! I am very happy for Carroll and Timber Creek... shocked that so many big bands fell on the wayside!

    Their performance was great, but I don't think they finish higher than 7th tonight

    Predictions? I think Keller, Coppell are rock solid. Duncanville and Waxahachie are likely. LD Bell is more likely than not. Carroll and Lake Ridge have a chance to take the fifth (position.. not the amendment!)

    At some point, the powers that be need to split up this area. We are getting a lot of GREAT bands left behind. It is not fair to the kids who have worked really really hard.

    Do the judges remain the same? I am shocked to see Martin, Berkner, JJ Pierce, Mansfield and Haltom not make the finals. Glad to see both Carroll and Central there. Hope that Carroll ends up with the 5th slot.
