I feel for Southlake Carroll too. They had a great performance and I was sure they were going to be the 15th band.

Great show by SLC. Clean lines and great props. I am still somewhat bothered by the brass being so muted. They need to bring the "big" sound they have had the last few years.

I am watching on Box5 TV, so take it for what it is worth, but I thought the brass sounded weaker compared to Bedford. Otherwise, agreed, a much improved show.

OK. Someone has to say this... how did they end up in the bottom 6 for the finals? They have been great all day today! The bottom 6 as a whole looks wrong. Some really good bands got a bad score. Inexplicable.

Agreed!! That was a great show. This is their first competition performance of the year, and if this is how they are starting their competition season, then they are a likely lock for a ticket to the UIL finals in San Antonio.

Dude!! You were on the money at the UIL. You have to give us your feedback on the Prelims. Don't do a play by play... but atleast predict the semi-finalists. Also, I repeat, go to Vegas and bet on this. If they don't take your bet, fly to Ireland or the UK. They will give you odds on ANYTHING.

Now, I am very VERY curious to see the recaps to see how close you got to the actual standings. BTW, quit your day job and get into Band Betting (if there is such a thing in Vegas). Well done!

I think Carroll places higher than where you have it and Westlake places lower than where you have it
