  1. I think the top 4 at this contest could go anyway and it would make sense. Carmel and Avon have both been really quiet since ISSMA. Hebron usually has one last push before grand nationals on years they go, I think their performances in indy will be leagues above where they were at state. I think the woodlands has a shot at being our first texas band to win visual at grand nationals, that moment in the ballad where they’re doing the slow coupe steps is INSANELY hard. I leave for indy on thursday morning and I really can’t wait!!
  2. Yep, our locks are pretty well set in stone but those last spots are going to be a brutal battle for.
  3. Congrats to Haltom and Berkner on making the SMBC!! How long has it been for both programs since they’ve been to San Antonio for UIL?
  4. What years did you march at Bell? I’m an alum as well
  5. I think they would make it considering how well they did at Katy. It’s a shame they’re not going
  6. Yes I understand the Prosper gap, but Waxahachie ALWAYS plays UIL better than they do BOA, unlike everyone else who tries to do well in both. I won’t be surprised to see Timber beat them but I wouldn’t underestimate Wax.
  7. Agreed I feel that Timber Creek and Waxahachie will be fighting for 3rd
  8. I would say probably put waxahachie in the 2-4 range as they are typically pretty strong in the UIL field. After that, I think it looks pretty accurate.
  9. My take is CTJ Lake Travis Timber Creek and LD Bell take the last 4
  10. I think timber creek more than keller central. Just will depend on their prelims runs though.
  11. Ld Bell placed first at Prosper in prelims and while they dropped to 4th in finals, they were still ahead of everyone else in the music and visual captions other than Wakeland. Marcus being put on the bubble list is criminal after their victory over Flower Mound at DFW. They will be in, and they’ll do much better than last year. I feel as though CTJ will make it as well. SA finals without CTJ would be strange. But I don’t think they will do as well as they have in the past. Bridgeland could make it, they had a good showing at Katy. Would be good to see a first time finals appearance from them. I think Lake Travis has a better shot at making it than ever.
  12. cedar ridge with a near perfect percussion score in prelims and finals..
  13. Man, what a day and what a contest. I was surely convinced the top 2 of the contest would be hebron and the woodlands. Wasn’t quite expecting vandy to sneak up and tie with hebron like that. Gotta say it’s cool to see waxahachie back in finals and to see pearland in finals as well. This is a transition year for pearland and they’re already doing so much better than before, I think they will be one of the next powerhouse programs in the coming years. Sad about Ld Bell missing finals for the first time in so long, however they had a tough job with that time spot so they decided to give it their all. 16th after going 2nd isn’t bad at all actually. Looking forward to seeing them make their come back soon enough. I’m ready for tomorrow but i’m also ready for some sleep, see y’all tomorrow!
  14. me as well my friend
  15. I have no idea who takes home the win this year, during hebron I was literally wondering how anyone could compare and then the woodlands came out and did that…
  16. I think this is the most likely outcome, I would seriously hate to be a judge at this contest but i’d love it at the same time
  17. this aged well i think
  18. I was confused by a lot of the preliminary scoring if i’m honest
  19. can’t remember but I know it’s an earth wind & fire tune
