Even if they took 130 out of Austin, as soon as you hit San Antonio the traffic is awful with construction and general driver behavior. It's only ~5 hours before prelims is over, so at best they have 3 hours to get here and have time for warmup, etc. Fingers crossed for them.

Area I has been moved to Monday

If we're taking about the 2025 season, DS placing over CR/CTJ was nearly a month ago. Since then CR took 1st in Waco and CTJ 3rd in South Houston. Then the gap seemed to widen between DS, MGJ, and Reagan in just two weeks (SM > TMC). With how this season has progressed in scoring, it's a bit difficult to make calls based on who beat who. I could see DS safe for a spot but if that's upset by anyone else then it'll be a fight for the last one.

Doesn't seem like they'll face any issues with moving them thankfully.

I totally forgot y'all had so many on field. How heavy were each piece? Especially the largest one...

To be Curiouser and Curiouser about what's going on behind those screens. I kid. I do hope by TMC adjustments to the screens will be made, brightness in the evening at the very least. Very excited to see where a lot of these programs are at in about a month once contests start back up. A lot of rehearsals with clinicians in some of these bands next few weeks.

A critism on design choice does not take away from the performance levels these kids are displaying. By all means, Leander sounds good and I'm sure they look good as well. I think they sound the best they have in a long time, similar to 2019. However, screens have been utilized in the past by other programs in both highschool and DCI. It's unique but not ahead of it's time. The way they're being used and staged in Leanders production is very distracting and takes away from the performers. This is a unanimous opinion on this page.

I try not to comment during a performance but I truly truly do not understand the screens. Now that it's evening they're even brighter and more distracting. Unless you're at the pressbox, maybe?, they're covering so many of the performers. Edit: I can tell Leander is performing well but it's impossible to genuinely pay attention to them. This is an absurd use of money. It's CTJ Whataburger logo on scrims level of absurd.
