okay...so this what we usually play and the crowd is gettin pretty tired of it... Louie Louie Iron Man Aint No Holla Back Girl Smoke On The Water Mustang Sally "Go Stangs Go" etc...etc... Those songs don't really appeal to our crowd. So is there any song worth turning into a stand tune that you would want??? Cuz i can make it happen... (for my band of course)

Okay...so for my senior year...i want to be able to play songs that EVERYBODY will enjoy at the football game...but it would also have to something that can get the crowd pumped up for the game. I'm struggling the perfect songs though because there are SOOO many... *hint...the crowd is very diserve... so if u had a choice...what would u want to play in the stands at football games??? i REALLLLLYYY wanna know...thanks!

i think it's all about how u approach the situation. if you come at them seriously and give them positive reasons behind why u want to do it then they MIGHT give you one ear to listen to. Trust me...since it's going to b my senior year in band next year...i want to do a LOT that will help make our marching year fun and yet productive. So i gotta come right or go home...or however the saying goes...i dunno.

i do... i think in order for a band to be at it's possible best...then everybody's opinion should be taken into account...because some things may work but they can't be put into action unless it's heard.

yeah...that's 100% true it's harder to maintain high placements than it is to win 1 time... u can beat a lil kid in checkers a lot but they can always win one time...what makes that lil kid good is if he keeps on beating you or at least gettin close

i got the run down on him... he's in his final semester of his music major at SHSU...and he has to be a student teacher here @ Westfield in order to graduate...plus he is a saxophonist...and also did a lil colorguard teaching on the side...i forgot his name though... i also believe that we are going to have a former cadet marcher becoming one of our new directors!!! JOYY!!!!!

sometimes i really dont think it matters what class u in...but only in specific circumstances... some sophomores can be smarter than the upperclassmen we already have... my "section leader" this year was somewhat horrible at marching and I and this sophomore marcher were able to manage our section better than him... so it all depends...u can weed out the smart ones from the dumb ones...

i could tell u why... there are positives and negatives to dating in band... Positives: * They can go on trips with you * They are at every football game * They can be around afterschool * You know most of their friends * Never have to worry about being far away from each other * Just usually never too far Negatives: * Everybody knows your business * Nothing can be kept a secret * You could see them a lil bit too much * You usually can't escape them if you're mad * Everybody wants to help in the relationship * They could embarass you in front of everybody * If yall brake up...then it becomes a big deal in band world it jus all depends on how the relationship is...

even if u want to kick someone out of band...you jus can't be like "hey you...we are kickin u out"...it's not like band is a clubhouse or something. You can't really just kick someone out...at least i don't think. I've never seen it done at Westfield.

what about unexpected text messages in the morning?

not really... crackheads from the school come to the band hall to use our restrooms to smoke weed...and then the whole band starts to smell like weed and everybody that walks thru gets high somewhat...
