Region 18 Symphonic band played "Gum-Suckers March" by Grainger. Also, our director was thinking about playing it in concert band. One time's enough for me.

Well, I couldn't find a recording anywhere on the net. Cure you Google, you've failed me!

Freshman year my ensemble recieved our music veeery late so we only had 3 practices for the whole piece (It was a class I). We made a three, but we still ended up beating some of the upperclassmen in top band who were given theirs much earlier.

I'd be happy enough having a phone that actually WORKS. My screen is busted, and you have to tilt the speaker in a wierd angle to hear anything. An iphone would be cool, but I don't think many people would shell out that kind of cash for it.

Enough to know this site, and that's proof enough for me

Is that an offer I hear? Not that I have my own horn, let alone a Hirsbrunner. It gets depressing when you switch horns every year...

Finals ceremony, Grand Nats this year. No one cared that we made 12th out of 12 bands then or if perhaps people didn't think that we would make it. Just the power and intensity of standing on that field next to all of your friends who you worked with all the time since August, as well as the top bands all around the nation, was almost overwhelming. But as a sophmore there's another two years left for me, so who am I to judge just yet.

You not only walk to the beat of the music, but change time with it as well. (You also get real funny looks while doing so)

I've tried to find a score for somthing like this for ages. If I could only find one...

I feel that I need to apologize to the L.D. Bell band for the recent comments made by one of our band members on the BOA forum. This shows a lack of maturity and respect to L.D. Bell and marching bands as a whole. I hope that our program is not judged by the acts of such individuals. I apologize to the L.D. Bell band, congragulate them on their recent achievment, and wish all well in the upcoming State and Grand National competitions.

You know who I'm talking about. It's that one guy/gal who the whole section hates. The same person who smells funny. This is where you rant (without naming names) about how much whoever it is annoys the daylights out of you. Go ahead, let it loose. Oh, and stories about what happens to them are always funny too.(You know what I mean, Salesmonkey)
