man, i'm depressed that i can't see bell's show. i really want to. is there any other way to see it if you can't go to state or grand nationals. man, their show sounds amazing!!!

i almost feel as bad for the failing girl as I do for AHS. think of all the crap that she's going to get and think of all the guilt and shame she must feel. but at the same time all could be avoided easily. it's sick. i'm sorry AHS. i hope u know that u won't be forgotten. on a happier note. does anyone know which color power ranger????????? and shouldn't marcus be dq because they're seaweed?? they're not even human, much less humanoids.

i heard that the props costed somewhere around 8500 dollars!! it's always a possibility that i could be wrong. not to say anything against marcus because i think they have a really clean show both musically and visually (that i like) but i thought it was MARCHING BAND...lol, not Blast!. in my opinion, i think some of the props distract from some of the forms. when I watched the show, i didn't remember anything about the really cool forms they make. ie. octopus, fish, and waves (i notcied these forms after seeing the show a second time). I really do wish them the best of luck though...along with everyone else. i wish AREA B wasn't soo hard!! grr, when will the areas be realigned???

wow! go marcus!!! they beat bell substantially, i thought it was going to be closer than that!!! wow! (not saying that everyone else did a bad job) YAY EVERYONE!

honestly, i don't know what to think...all i know is that i think it's hard to even make predictions. i know that two are almost 2 garuntees : LD Bell and Marcus. other options i think are open. it will honestly be one tough competion. i hope we can do well. it's very nerve racking. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

anyone have ideas about the bands that might go on to state from each area??? is it me, or does it seem that the areas are more competitive this year than previous?

oh, and both bands look GREAT! is that the same duncanville that's amazing at both concert band and marching band?? it's sounds like a stupid question but i mean, hebron's show looked more challening than duncaville's. i'm NOt dissing on duncanville. i respect them. i guess i didn't know what the expect is all.

you know, its really sad that i knew the song that hebron was playing and the commentator didn't...it's like he's NEVER heard of it before (which he probably hasn't). man!! i think everyone needs to understand where today's music came from. in music history sense, not knowing what the rite of spring is, is like not knowing (in an american history sense) who's thomas jefferson. its a sad world.

well, i guess im going to get our hs's show out there...our show is called "notes of change". it's based on a show that we did a couple of years ago. the shows about the progression of music from as early as chanting to rock and roll. i dont know if this show has been done before but i LOVE the music!!!! the music really reflects the changes that music has made over time. in our show the drill gets harder with each movement to correspond with the growing complexity of music with each movement. (does this make sense?) our music includes part one- Chanting (now this may or may not be added...it all depends on length of show) part two- The Dansyrye (sounds like dansery i dont know how to spell it...but this is from the Rennassaince/Baroque era) part three- Mozart's Oveture to Marraige of Figaro (classical) part four- Tchaicovky's Pathetique Symphony, Mvt. 1 (this is our "ballad"...LOVE IT) (romantic era) part five- Birland (our jazz/rock and roll era, vrey cool sax feature) part six- Couldn't tell you, it's a mixture of EVERYTHING...soo cool but cheasy, lol. just want opinions and such...i think it's a fun show and I hope we can do well with it! from what i've read, all of these shows sound fantastic and exciting!! i hope everyone does well!! I LOVE MARCHING BAND!

sry, ive been slow to get toccata and fugue up sometime soon, anyways...funny story, toccata and fugue (a snip of it) is in our marching closer. and that concludes my funny story. so, um, ya. YAY toccata and fugue in d minor. lol

yes it did. 2002 when state was at Waco in the Baylor stadium. the field was a grass field not turff and the frield grew very muddy. people were falling down and everything. it was horrible (so I've heard)

i remember one game in my freshmen year we marched in the rain at halftime. it was a somewhat cold shower, not really pouring but coming down steady. it was awesome! (but cold, it was in november)

i have a recording of my hs band playing it for honor band recording submission....ill see if i can't get it up here...when listening to it, you MUST turn up your subs...it makes it even more enjoyable!

there isnt a link to the story because the story hasnt been fully developed. its not even to the stage of filming. and i know this about MTV and band reality show beacause a good friend goes to marcus and my director even confirmed what was happening. but anways. who else was chosen? BOA you say? why am I not surprised lol.

so here's an update. marcus just recently turned down MTV. it turns out that the contracts basically said that MTV would own you. (psht, like this is a surprise???) i think the idea is a good one, but i mean come on...who honestly would let it happen?? i think the world can go without a show called "band geeks".
