  1. Vista Ridge is going, so Leander is set to go. No word on time yet for Leander.
  2. Pflugerville pulled 1 PM and is cleared to go. Not sure what Hendrickson pulled - heard 7:15 through the grapevine but don't know the veracity of that - and they don't have conclusive sources online, but it looks like they're going to go as well from what I can gather with Facebook comments.
  3. My other question is: Won't the DFW bands who go early tomorrow morning face the exact same issues? Austin is expected to get at least another couple of inches of rain over night and roads are still closed. The bands who go before, say 11, will face the exact same travel issues when they try to get to Austin. Additionally, some are scheduled to come to San Antonio tonight, which obviously won't work either, as they'll be in the thick of the storm systems passing through.
  4. The huge problem is that there's no way any of the major roads will be safe to drive on at night time or very early in the morning. The roads will all likely still have a fair amount of water and it'll be too dark to see it. Having bands meet 7-8 AM performance times, necessitating driving in still quite unsafe conditions, is incredibly irresponsible. The only real option is to add slots to the end, even if it drives finals further back (or cancels it).
  5. That's incredibly wild. And is extraordinarily counter to Music For All's mission of "positively life changing experiences." If this is what's going to happen, that's incredibly unfair. There are two medal contenders that could be left out due to a draw and every other band in this situation is a possible finalist.
  6. Cedar Park is there and Leander will not go today either.
  7. Is Cedar Park definitely going at 4:45?
  8. Well there goes that plan.
  9. In theory, one could drive down 130 from the Pflugerville/Hutto area and take that down to I-10 and miss 35 completely. That would help the RRISD and LISD schools, but that's pretty out of the way for Westlake and Dripping Springs and Bowie tomorrow morning (since I doubt 35 will be open then).
  10. I wonder how this will affect the DFW bands that go early tomorrow morning? They'll have to drive through Lake 35 tonight or early in the morning and some have hotel reservations.
  11. Vandegrift was completely on fire from what I saw on the live stream. I wouldn't have even known they had such a rough and unstable morning.
  12. While unfortunate, that may make sense. The last large band of storms is happening late into the night around 3 AM, which is about an hour or less before they would have to head to San Antonio to make their warmup time.
  13. According to the live stream: Changes so far: Vandegrift -> 1:00 Round Rock -> 4:00 Dripping Springs -> 7:30 Leander -> 7:45 Westlake -> 8:00 Hendrickson -> 8:15 Pflugerville -> 8:30 Still to be rescheduled: Anderson Cedar Park All else remains as of Mr. Potter's latest announcement, including Vista Ridge at 4:15 (but wouldn't be surprised to see this change too)
  14. For context, this is what South Austin looks like right now: https://www.facebook.com/FOX7austin/videos/1030960533612091/?permPage=1
  15. Calallen is performing early. The next block apparently won't start until 12:45, so I'm assuming Cedar Park hasn't arrived. They're likely stuck somewhere on 35 considering when they would have had to leave for their warmup call. For context, this is what South Austin looks like right now: https://www.facebook.com/FOX7austin/videos/1030960533612091/?permPage=1
  16. Vista Ridge hasn't left from what I last heard. Vandegrift arrived and will perform at 3:45, according to Dan (Xenon).
  17. The issue isn't necessarily how late prelims will go or the availability of warmup areas. It's the fact that as long as it keeps raining, it's going to continue to flood without getting better. I doubt any districts are going to let their bands go to San Antonio while everything between South Austin and New Braunfels is basically underwater.
  18. So there are about 8 Austin area schools in the later block, as well as a couple from further North who would hypothetically face the same issue. Weather also won't get any better until this evening (where it'll still be raining, but not really any tornado threats). I'm not sure how feasible it is to have another block tonight. What's the likelihood that BOA will cancel finals and just hold a final block of prelims tomorrow afternoon / evening? Or I suppose cut the breaks tomorrow short by a lot?
  19. At least Leander, Vista Ridge and Round Rock at all at their campuses still. I suppose BOA will have to extend prelims tomorrow, because the situation between North Austin and San Antonio probably won't get any better today.
  20. Many bands in the North Austin suburbs are being held at their schools due to the weather conditions by their school districts. Hopefully they can be rescheduled or fit in tomorrow.
  21. Vandegrift's performance just got moved to noon because of transportation. Should help alleviate some performance time concerns people had.
  22. Wait... but where is Dan Potter?! This announcer isn't doing it for me at all...
  23. If I'm not mistaken, they'll do indoor warmups if it rains. Not advantageous, but not the end of the world by any means.
