2025 DCI Predictions
J-Mike16 replied to J-Mike16's topic in TxBands Site Suggestions, Problems, and Questions
Hey everyone. Question to those of yall who are participating in the predictions. Do yall want me to mix in All-Age corps with the World and Open Classes when it comes to results? All-Age tends to have their scores run higher than World and Open. Or we can just automatically put All-Age at the bottom of the predictions submissions and the results too? Please let me know as I dont want to do something that causes backlash. -

I think I'm out of the loop. Could you elaborate on the new judging? A source if you got it.

Yeah it def won’t be easy, mostly based on assumptions but either way this season has been and will be great, would love for Phantom to medal!
-
Yeah I understand that, I do think scv has a very cool show but they have their work cut out for them if they want a spot on the podium. Rlly cheering for scv and pr especially.

I agree with your takes. I think that Flomo and Braswell could definitely benefit and McKinney too. I think this new system could possibly push Braswell to state which year which would be really sick, they were a fan favorite last year. Im interested to see the percussion caption specifically this year, Area J is one of the great percussion areas as of late, with Midwest and Pasic invites from some of the school, I'm really curious to see how it goes for not just our finalists, but our underdog bands too. This year I bet that there will be some dark horses sneaking to finals in this area.
-
Yeah. I mean with how they’ve been scoring in relation to other groups, I think it’s somewhat possible. I obv understand beating BD and maybe PR will be hard but they imo have the show to do it if everyone’s at the same level of clean come finals

UIL 3A State Marching Contest 2025 (Nov 12)
bxOxAxUIL replied to bxOxAxUIL's topic in UIL: Upcoming Contests
Correct. I still wouldn’t count them out, I would think they still have most of the students from the 2023 state champion group (that haven’t graduated). -
SCV 3rd??? I love scv, especially being in battery myself and I think they will win the Sanford but I can barely see them breaking top 5 rn. Great show, but I think it’ll take them some time to get back to the level of 2018
-
I could definitely see it. If not a podium this year they’ll definitely be 4th but I could see it. Just depends on what the DCI judges think of their show theme being everything yet nothing at the same time 1. BC (It’s gonna be close) 2. Bloo 3. PR (I’m really hoping) 4. BD 5. SCV 6. Crown 7. BS 8. Mandies 9. Cavs 10. Troops 11. Colts (Could see higher) 12. BK/Scouts
-
I think for this area it will definitely show the real strengths and weaknesses between these bands. It’s probably also gonna help people to show what needs improvement. If anyone benefits from this it will probably be FloMo and also Braswell and McKinney
-
Yes it will definitely get more clear as we se them compete against each other but I’ll drop my predictions down below 1. Bloo 2. Boston 3. PR 4. BD 5. Crown 6. SCV 7. mandarins 8. Blue stars 9. troopers 10. cavies 11. colts 12. pacific crest/bk/crossmen/scouts i also think in percussion it’s and scv year, I really want Boston to get a Sanford and I think they might be the best line to not have a Sanford but rennick is cooking again… also if you want to make predictions for all these events and see how you stack up against others : fantasymarching.live any thoughts on my predictions?
-
While id love for them too, I don’t think I really see them passing BD just yet, but they could. Here’s my current list after the first few weeks: 1. BAC/Bloo 2. Bloo/BAC 3. SCV (hoping but I think possible) 4. BD 5. Phantom Regiment 6. Crown 7. Mandarins 8. Blue Stars 9-11 any order Colts/Troopers/Cavies 12. Pacific Crest/Blue Knights/Madison Scouts I honestly have no idea how that last spots gonna be filled bc it’s a crazy season. Also, while i understand they sound amazing, I don’t think the visual/GE of crown will be enough. I personally think people to often forget it’s more than just music and while we haven’t gotten any scores from them and I could be completely wrong, with how good everyone else, they may fall one or stay where they were, but I’d be shocked if they were top 4. It’s an amazing brass book and their guard is awesome but I’m a bit worried, but again , I could be completely wrong. Tonight will be a good look at everyone minus BD
-
With the new Area judging, who do you guys think will benefit from specific captions, and who might fall? I think it could be an interesting discussion especially considering how close a lot of bubble bands are in this area.

Is there a dark mode for this website? Would it be something easy to implement? I (and hopefully others) would greatly appreciate it!
