inmysights31 Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Hi Daniel. After looking at the list of participants for this contest I can see that there are a lot of lesser-known programs that have signed up. My question to you, even though a bit random, is what is in your opinion the singular biggest thing which deters band from participating in BOA. I have a few theories of my own but am interested to hear what you have to say. Quote

Programs feel that you have to spend a ton of money on props/silks/electronics in order to even have a shot of being successful with their format. Some directors simply don't buy in to the general effect philosophy that Bands of America provides especially here in Texas. They would rather just compete in UIL and then go to a few local contests. inmysights31 1 Quote

ValleyBandFanatic Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Top Ten: 1) CTJ 2) Pioneer 3) Roma 4) Seven Lakes 5) Braz 6) United 7) Hannah 8) Edinburg North 9) Juarez Lincoln 10) Edinburg I'm putting all my chips down that Pioneer and Roma will have a difference of .5 or less points at the competition Quote

Danpod Posted September 17, 2018 Author Posted September 17, 2018 Plenty of bands in attendance. Should be a nice contest! Quote
