Thanks for this list!  My son (and me) were curious.  N Forney came in 12, but with so much tough competition, they felt they did good.

PESHmom do you have detailed results for prelim and finals. I heard Coppell tied Marcus for Best Winds in prelims? and Martin got Best Percussion. What about the other captions?

I'm very curious to see the scores too. The preliminary results (placement) was the same as the finals. I didn't understand why some, Wakeland for example, scored behind other bands that just didn't impress me as much musically or visually. Their props were simple but their formations made up for it. This is in the finals especially as they really upped their game there. No arguing over the top 2. I also enjoyed Lone Star's show.

I too was puzzled with the finals results. Some bands obviously performed much better in the finals than they did in prelims. Just find it hard to believe there wasn't even one change. Here's how I had the finals.

Seems like Wakeland isn't having a good year. Did they get a director change?

Heard that mos of their staff transferred over to Coppell H.S. this summer.

Wakeland was 11th at BOA Plano missing finals by .3 and beating Coppell by a point with BOA judges and finishes 9th at this contest? I'll take the opinion of the BOA trained judges I think.

Yes! Well, I honestly had Centennial lower than at least Lone Star. Nice show but difficulty level is lower due to less playing while marching. Wakeland does have a new director because most of the staff left for Coppell.

 

My theory is that the judges opted out of watching finals and went out for dinner. I joke, obviously, but the shows were very different in the 2 rounds but the scoring was not. I don't get it.

Sorry I don't have the scores either.   My son is an alumni of the band so I follow them, but I don't have access to all the inside information anymore!   My daughter went to Plano and they were at the Wylie Invitational, so I was kind of split between which one to go to and ended up staying home when Plano didn't make the finals at Wylie. 

(They were #11 there).

Got the prelim results for 6A from a friend who's kid was participating-

 

Best Percussion- Martin

Best Winds- Coppell and Marcus

Best Drum major- Marcus

Best Marching- Marcus

Best Guard- Coppell

My friend who saw all the finalists thought Wakeland should have been in the 4-7 range.
