Whitacre's been used well on the field as well (Bell 2005 and 2007, Richland 2005, a whole lot of others). takigan Posted September 24, 2009 Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 Tried and true: "Jupiter" by Gustav Holst "Nessun Dorma" by Giacomo Puccini "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber "Lux Aurumque" by Eric Whitacre and some less obvious ones that I feel would make spectacular ballads if played by a quality group and scored under the right context: "O Magnum Mysterium" by Morton Lauridsen "Journey to the West" by Joe Hisaishi "The Oath" by Nobuo Uematsu "Dream of the Shore Bordering Another World" by Yasunori Mitsuda (much slower tempo) "A Boy and a Girl" by Eric Whitacre Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
