I think Granbury will be second, and then the next few placements are kind of a toss-up i could see kaufman or o'connor in a fight with granbury for 2nd, but i can also see granbury getting 2nd! glyde Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 The fact that programs like Hebron, flower mound, marcus and forney come here is unsettling considering that they will obviously sweep up the podiums. I wonder how the smaller schools compete against this MoBone 1 Quote

I, II, and IV are in that same afternoon different comp, and III and V are the next day Quote

This could be very accurate. That's stunning! And I definitely wasn't expecting it to be Jeremy Earnhart!! I don't know of any director -- of that caliber or otherwise -- who has moved up to fine arts director and then back down to being a high school director. Quote

WanderingTraveler Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Never posted my predictions, oops. Group I, II, and IV Predictions: 1. Birdville HS - IV 2. Sandra Day O’Connor HS - IV 3. Granbury HS - IV 4. Kaufman HS - IV 5. Mount Pleasant HS - IV 6. West Mesquite HS - IV 7. Lewisville HS - IV 8. Ryan HS - IV 9. Northwest HS - IV 10. Paschal HS - IV 11. Naaman Forest HS - II 12. Arlington Lamar HS - II Assuming since this is a single run format, then theres no “every group represented” rule Quote
WanderingTraveler Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 World Class Predictions: 1. Flower Mound 2. Hebron 3. Marcus 4. Burleson Centennial 5. Forney 6. The Colony Assuming FM continues the winning streak, however I still think Hebron is still incredibly close in a UIL/USBands format. Quote
WanderingTraveler Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Group III & V Predictions: 1. Midlothian HS - V 2. W.E. Boswell HS - V 3. Byron Nelson HS - V 4. North Forney HS - III 5. Richardson HS - V 6. Guyer HS - V 7. James Martin HS - V 8. Red Oak HS - III 9. Garland HS - III 10. Burleson HS - III 11. Frisco HS - III 12. Midlothian Heritage HS - III Could see Harker Heights getting into the top 12. Excited to see how the top 3 shake out. Quote
MHS Band Dad Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 I'd love to see a Marcus upset of Hebron - they were 2 points behind Hebron at UIL Area J. Quote

Actually I take that back a bit, USBands judging is definitely kinda like BOA-lite, were effect is an actual caption. Judging has both a music and visual effect, rather than a "general effect" category, which is why I said that. FM should win this. MoBone 1 Quote
