Going to post these as fast as possible when I am able to get the website to load.

Think small bands in finals are Canton, Sulphur Springs, Ching Spring, and Krum. Celina has a big band slot I believe.

Canton: I actually really liked this show. I thought the balance was really nice! Few visuals that need cleaning, but overall I think this was a very good showing from this group. Pictures is one of my favorite pieces, and its super exposing, but I think Canton did a good job keeping most things smooth and bringing out certain melodic lines really well!

I apologize for double posting, I think it’s a form submittal thing.

Krum: Really like what this group put out! Visually very clean, despite it being early season. Sound is good, I feel like y’all could push the sound envelope a bit, since the sound is already good. Kept thinking of 360 Hebron. Flute soloist is super talented, you sound great. Good job.

China Spring: Y’all sound phenomenal! Love the opener for this show!! Holy woodwinds, you guys have such a bog presence and are not getting buried. Clarinet soloist has great tone. :) I would maybe put the volunteers behind the props to keep the emersion?!?! This show is fairly technical so theres some cleaning to do, but I am very impressed.

Krum also made finals

They didn’t make actual finals for placement.  CS, Krum, Canton and Springtown are playing exhibition.  Sulphur Springs and Celina are the only small bands to actually make finals for top 12 placement.

Can’t find anyone with the ordinals. I tried, y’all.

Its cool. Thanks for getting us the bands that made finals. The website has definitely been slow all day today.

Rock Hill: Idk if these are new uniforms, but I really liked them. Props are cool, and love the percussion wraps. Opening duo was super nice. I think this group does articulation very well. Brass sound gets kind of lost in certain moments because of horn angle, but the long sustained chord moments are very nice!! Excited to see when this show is finished.

Liberty: Another band with good balance. Kind of hard to hear the first few phrases of the show due to staging. Trumpet soloist sounds amazing. Double tonguing portion of the book a few minutes again is a super cool moment. I really liked how this show was staged for the ballad, and the visuals add a very good touch to it. Some visual cleaning to do, but this show was super fun to see for the first time. Very e=mc^2 coded.

Mckinney North: Like the additions to the uniforms! Im guessing this is there “standard” uniform now, rather than the orange from a few years ago. Staging feels familiar, but honestly completely different show, so I have no problem with it. Drill fits the theme well. Very technical show, and getting this all to line up might be a nightmare. Few timing issues with all the moving parts. Woodwinds getting buried a bit in the ballad, but the overall sound from the ensemble is outstanding. Welcome back singer!!! Excited to see this develop.

Celina: I see y’all want another state championship! Love the music selections for this show. Trombone trio sounded very mature, and the woodwind technique and visibility was impressive. Some exposed brass moments sound a bit thin, while the overall ensemble seems very balanced. Battery seems locked in, nice! Use of props in this show is tasteful, wondering if there will be wraps on them later. Drill is super exposed, and some of the diagonals are tilted a bit, but it’s also super early season. Flute soloist technique is fire! Good-luck this season!
