Good morning everyone! Weather is great for today, not a cloud in the sky. Italy will be taking the field in the next 24 minutes or so.

Best of luck to all bands today!

Thanks 😊 🙏 And agreed. Good luck to everyone else competing today! I’m excited to see some good band and what everyone is bringing to life this season.

North Lamar sounded really good! I feel we are underestimating them right now. They look like they have found their footing again and could possibly sneak into top 5 at state

I’ve been sorta surprised they’ve not been mentioned at all. They have a lot to clean up steps wise, but they sound good.

Now that the small schools are done, anyone want to chime in?

My thoughts are-

Celina/Sulphur (I think Celina’s guard and battery are weaker this year but their overall sound is far superior)

North Lamar/Canton (happy to see both of these schools looking and sounds great)

Farmersville/China Spring/Krum?

I feel like they could go in any order and I’m honestly a little clueless about who could break into finals and who might get an exhibition spot.

I would honestly put Celina above SS, but I don’t know what the judges will think. Also not too sure about canton and NL. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking on my part.

Sulphur Springs sounded great today! Could see them possibly get into finals along side Celina (didn't get to see them)

North Lamar is a group i could see get an exhibition spot, but that could be determined based on how they do at the other contest they are doing.

Farmersville sounded and looked really good today, could see them get a possible spot in exhibition.

Krum looked good and sounded good as well. Could see them as a possible state qualifier.

Springtown sounded good, but I didn't get a chance to truly watch their show.

Italy looked and sounded good, but don't feel they will be in exhibition tonight.

Lebanon Trail just pulled ahead of James Martin... great drill. Still not finished the show.... sound and pitch need some work  but nothing  major they can't  fix..

Little great drill ... sound needs a little  more work.. they could  be louder.... color guard seemed off quite a few drops....

1. Lebanon Trail

2. James  Martin.

3. Liberty

4. Little Elm

So far.. IMO...

I think around that Liberty/little elm line is where we can see some of the 4A bands slip in

Holy cow Hebron... those woodwinds are cooking! Brass double tongue features are as crisp and challenging as usual, and the drill is as clean as ever. I'm sure the finishing of their props will make it even cooler, and this is sure to be another top-3 finish at state (if not another victory!)
