Here is my predictions going just based off of the trend from 2023-2024, non-objective list of course, and free to disagree etc. (gets tiring writing that out even though its important to keep in mind haha)

1. Lone Star

2. McKinney High

3. Argyle

4. Rock Hill

5. Lakeview

6. Walnut Grove

7. Little Elm

8. Celina

9. Memorial

10. Liberty

I agree with this one as well, I think 5/6/7 will be interesting to look at because i'd consider the 3 to all be pretty close to eachother so I can't wait to see how it ends up this fall. I think it will be great to see this contest especially with the newcomers.

I'm sure that we're gonna have WAY more people than listed, but here's what I think an early top 12 could be for this contest with possible "ranges". 4A looks insane for this show and has all the big guys asides from panther creek because of them sticking to the Plano East contest. I want to wait for more people to sign up before I lock in my prediction however.

1. Lone Star/Argyle/Rock Hill

2. Lone Star/Argyle/Rock Hill

3. Lone Star/Argyle/Rock Hill

4. McKinney/Little Elm/Walnut Grove/Lakeview

5. McKinney/Little Elm/Walnut Grove/Lakeview

6. McKinney/Little Elm/Walnut Grove/Lakeview/Celina

7. McKinney/Little Elm/Walnut Grove/Lakeview/Celina

8. Celina/Liberty/Memorial

9. Celina/Liberty/Memorial

10. Liberty/Memorial

11. North Forney/Rowlett

12 North Forney/Rowlett/Canton/CS

I see this list for sure, but I think Garland could also be 10-5

Yes, I can totally agree with these predictions. Many of these bands are talented, but excited to see how everything plays out for this competition.

Here is how bands confirmed in the contest competed against each other in contests with more than one from this contest in it. (with exceptions being UIL and Melissa itself)
I made this when I was making my predictions for this contest once again today (which i'll probably post later) but feel free to interpret this however needed for predictions as I felt this could be important for other's predictions for this contest.

It’s been a little quiet…

Does anyone have any band their excited to watch? Any predictions?

I'm excited to see what Lone Star has in store for this year, Rock Hill, McKinney, Little Elm, and Argyle will also be the bands to look out for this year. I think we could definitely see some new faces in this contest rise up, and that's what is exciting. Lots of Area J action in here as well could be a preview with 3 bands that could all be in contention this year. Excited to see how it goes! I'll post some new predictions in just a minute.

Here are my 2nd version of predictions, excited to see how this contest goes.
1. Lone Star

5. Little Elm
6. Walnut Grove
7. James Martin

8. Liberty

List seems pretty legit, having Little Elm at 4th over Rock Hill is a bit ambitious but it is definitely possible, I think they could be a dark horse for 25-26 season and I can see them passing over RH, very excited to see what they have to show for this year. Also now that you have Argyle as one of your Percussion options, i'm a bit curious to see their percussion so I'll have to watch. I think this will be one of the lists to look at before we start seeing some shows in the Fall, but I think that there will be a lot of action in the top 5 that you put down and this will be one of the DFW contests to go to this year.

I agree they are definitely way over looked, and I gotta agree they could definitely overtake some people silently. Enjoyed the show last year and I think with the right show they can place high in this contest and maybe in the Area contest as well.

On Community HS's band page on their website, their calendar has them going to the Whitesboro contest, but melissa has them going here. Does anyone know if they might have dropped this contest?

Considering that the Melissa Band has not updated their website since March, my guess is that Community dropped this contest.

There’s a New head director at Community. They might be changing things up.

Seems like that program has a new director every two years. I know the guy who is now at Celina really built up the Community program before he left for Celina. I wish they could get consistent leadership because it’s a great little program and a rapidly growing district.

Community is BOOMING right now, you see the growth happening in Josephine and Lavon right now? It's gonna be the next Frisco or Paloma Creek in a couple years. I hope that they can have a good year in 4A, soon they will probably be 5A with the quick growth happening. Maybe even 6A in a couple realignments like how Prosper and Princeton did.

It’s predicted that Community will move up in this next realignment. I really hope this new director works out. He’s coming in at the right time, that’s for sure.

All of Collin County is booming. Soon there will be no land left. Princeton and Celina are two of the fastest growing cities in the state.

Sadly that is starting to happen a lot in the Dallas area is people going to a program for a few yrs and jumping ship to another program or a bigger one. It's just like coaches, there are some that will stick it out no matter what and be a lifer and there are some that are always chasing that talent and when the talent dries up they go elsewhere. Community has a pretty good program but sadly they are consistently behind the big name 4A Bands and with that entire area growing like it is (I remember Community use to be a 2A school). I could see them moving up to 5A

Yup, I remember Princeton use to be a 3A School and Celina was a 2A school back in the 90's and don't even get me started on Prosper I think they were a 2A as well. It's crazy to see the amount of growth in that area.

Per Denton ISD Fine Arts calendar, Braswell will be attending this contest!

In addition, McKinney North will go here instead of WMI.

Interesting for both these bands. I feel like this will be good for Braswell as a way to make an early statement. As for McKinney North this could be really good because it’s at the same stadium for area and a good way to show where they stand early on.
