Weather looks good on Saturday... Should be a shower until 9 am, and some storms at about 8 pm... could for sure maybe hit that midnight threshold but it is area finals (ON A SATURDAY)

Sachse will not be making the trip on Friday. Same reasons as Tyler Legacy.

Technically needs to be cleared out by like 9 am at the latest. Considering warm up slots. Right now it’s saying cloudy with 20% chance of rain between 10 am to 8 pm. Which should be enough for prelims. But finals? Not so much. Which could mean it’ll be a one run show. Which would suck to be honest.

Weather doesn't look to get better, so I think it will look to be a one and done prelims unless they want to drag out finals into the midnight hours...

Some where, I remember seeing that it cant run past midnight somewhere. I don't remember where if its like a city, state or UIL rule. But I remember hearing about it.

According to WFAA (I believe they're accurate for this time and situation), we should be good until 5 PM. And even from 5-11, there's gonna be a CHANCE for thuderstorms, and the rain looking to be short lived. As of right now, we may possibly have Area Finals, but, it WILL end really late about (11:30ish)

The UIL does not have a rule stating that. In fact, I think there was an area a couple of years ago where finals results ran into midnight.

The City of Mesquite also doesn’t have any kind of curfew at all, so if weather cooperates, I would expect a full fledged contest, with maybe a drum major retreat instead of a full retreat for finals if it’s either raining or there are delays that push things really close to midnight.

With the current forecast, it’s possible that the start of the contest could be delayed slightly. If not by much, it shouldn’t affect the finals start time.

No rain from 7 am until about 6 or 7 PM.

Rain chances seem to be lowering so there's still hope of 2 runs and only a delay to the start time

Where are yall getting weather from? My app says 95% all day with a slight drop around 3 to 80%. I have also seen weather guys on the news saying similar things. I heard that it is suspected to be prelims only with showers all day causing slight delays between bands.
