I would be surprised with them making finals with that run. Everyone's feet was out of time and they never got above a MF at best. The trombone solo was the only thing I found even remotely musically interesting. I don't see them doing well at all this year at area. their visual demand is very high and they are a pretty small band that march a lot of freshman, I don't blame them for not getting very loud CosmicLimbo and MoBone 2 Quote

The amount of improvement John Horn has had in the past year is very admirable. I think one really solid run could put them in finals MoBone 1 Quote

BandDad11 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 Here’s a recording of Heath’s run from Saturday: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8AWMhrB/ some timing issues but not bad overall. MoBone 1 Quote

Unfortunate for their percussion to do great and then tear there towards the end. If they do that they're definitely out of contention for the caption this Saturday and it could very well cost them a state spot. Brass sound pretty powerful, but have a little edge in some spots, I'm sure they'll get it right in the pocket come Saturday. Their woodwind choir balance is awesome and they sound really confident. I think their woodwinds could be their highest scoring caption (if percussion tears). Visually they look much better than they did at Prosper but still need to clean the last 60 to 90 seconds of their show. I think most of these things could be easy fixes, hardest thing to clean will be visuals, but if they really want that state spot, and work hard for it over the next few days, I definitely think they could make it. MoBone Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 Not only is it rain on Saturday as of now but Friday evening as well. That takes away the bands Friday night run. So yeah hopefully goes away or at least pushed into Sunday. Last year wasn’t it moved 2wice due to weather? Quote

Maybe not enough times to justify a placement on my end so that’s why I don’t. I do feel like Duncanville is gonna catapult themselves into a top 5 finish, maybe a top 4? 🤷🏿♂️ Weather permitting I will be viewing their run live on Friday night so we will see what happens. Quote

What's your top 10 predictions? I watched dvilles show last week and I'm not sure if they can finish top 5. They are a historically great program though so I wouldn't be too surprised if they do better than I'm anticipating. MoBone 1 Quote
