Xenon Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 No, BOA is still a seperate division of MFA and so it will keep it's name. So, we will still have BOA GN. Quote

mbui Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 (http://www.bands.org/index2.asp) FAQ: http://www.bands.org/public/resourceroom/mfafaq.asp Press Release: http://www.bands.org/public/resourceroom/mfainc.asp -------------- Don't worry....no name changes. The names of Bands of America events, like the Bands of America Regional and Grand National Championships, will not change. Bands of America events are still Bands of America events, ditto Orchestra America events. Bands of America and Orchestra America programs and events continue as planned, as part of Music for All, Inc. Quote
TX Suh-nare Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Man, if BOA keeps up this expanding and merging, they'll have a monopoly on all Fine Arts in the country by 2050. Scott McCormick could become a very rich guy! Just imagine if they merged with UIL... "Now joining us in BOA State Finals Performance..." Or how about DCI and WGI? Bands International, Incorperated. All we need are some Canadian bands to make the "international" legit! Quote
